The steam requirement varies considerably and there has been potential for improving the effectiveness of the plant. Svenska Foder has installed an Opcon Powerbox WST-CU which improves the efficiency of production by enabling consistent and optimised production of steam. This also reduces the factory’s operating and maintenance costs. With Opcon Powerbox WST-CU the factory receives process steam, biofuel-based electricity generation and hot water that can be supplied to the municipality’s district heating system.
