Fragranite treated with Sanitized®
Fragranite is an exceptionally tough material which is highly
resistant to burns, dents chips and stains. It was pioneered
by Franke and contains 80% granite to form a unique material
with a subtle sheen that is warm to the touch.

Kitchens can be a critical location for spreading bacteria and
demand special attention to hygiene. On unprotected material,
bacteria can multiply every 20 minutes making surfaces
unhygienic. The integrated Sanitized® hygiene function in
Fragranite sinks helps to keep this area clean and provides
the sink with lasting protection. It does not replace normal
cleaning but helps to keep surfaces free from bacteria. Tests
have proven that Fragranite treated with Sanitized® reduces
bacteria and microbe growth by 99%.
Stainless Steel
Franke stainless steel sinks are made from premium quality
chrome nickel steel, which looks stunningly beautiful, is
highly resistant to staining, rust and corrosion - plus it won’t
chip, craze, flake or break. It’s the most popular material

Ceramic sinks have been a popular choice for years
and combine well with a variety of work surfaces such as
wood, glass and granite. Ceramic sinks have a smooth,
impervious surface, which is resistant to all standard
household chemicals. It’s a very hardwearing choice that

Franke uses a combination of toughened safety glass

There are a number of considerations to take into account when choosing a sink.
Not only should it accentuate the overall look and feel of your kitchen, but also there
are installation and functionality options to take into account. Another vital element
to consider is the way your sink physically fits into the heart of your kitchen.

into a pre-prepared hole in your worktop.
It gives you the widest range of sink shapes,
sizes and styles to choose from, so you can
be sure that there is an inset sink to

Particularly pleasing when combined
with granite, wood or solid surface worktops,
undermount sinks allow for smooth,
uninterrupted surfaces. Fitted underneath the
work surface, it gives an edgeless finish that is
easy to clean and is perfectly integrated into the
kitchen environment.
Belfast
The quintessential choice for a stylish,
hardworking kitchen, it’s no wonder that the
Belfast sink is enjoying a renaissance. They are
easy to clean, resistant to stains, provide a large
washing bowl area and are an ecologically
friendly choice. Used either as a freestanding
feature with brackets or set on top of base units,
the Belfast is as charming and practical today as
it’s always been.

BOWL AND DRAINER CONFIGURATION
After deciding on the style and material of your preferred sink, you should
also take into consideration the cabinet width, along with your preferred
bowl and drainer configuration.
Bowl Configuration
One core consideration is the format of the bowls. Whether you
prefer the larger area of the single bowl or the versatility offered
by the 1 & ½ bowl format, there are options to suit. See diagrams
for more detailed information.

Cabinet size
Whatever the configuration, it is essential to check the cabinet size
of your kitchen to ensure the sink will fit. Your sink bowl(s) is
required to fit inside a single cabinet, so the cabinet size of each
sink is indicated via a symbol, corresponding to the key found on
the inside flap of this brochure.

Drainer Configuration
Once you have settled on a location for your sink, you can select
from a number of drainer options for many styles. They include:
LHD or RHD – This describes whether the drainer on the sink is
found to the left or to the right of the main bowl.
REV – These reversible designs have a tap hole at the front and
back, giving you the freedom to position the sink to provide either
a left or right handed drainer.

WASTE DISPOSAL UNITS
A choice of four units designed to free the kitchen of unsightly
and unhygienic organic household waste. Each unit is the essential
add-on for ensuring that all Franke appliances and work surfaces
remain looking immaculate.
Thanks to a unique, permanent magnet motor, Franke Turbo Plus
Waste Disposal Units reach high speed in a split second, producing
more torque per kilo than any other of its type. Whilst running water
through the unit, food waste is instantly liquefied into fine particles
that are easily flushed through the pipework system. For prices and

PLUMBING KITS
KITCHEN SOLUTIONS
Everything in the kitchen should flow smoothly, not just the tap.
That’s why we created products to make your life easier in the
kitchen and that help to maintain a tidy working environment. The
inset waste bin sits neatly in the countertop so food waste can be
quickly and hygienically disposed of, while maintaining a minimalist
look, and the Franke waste sorter range has multiple solutions to aid
in the environmentally friendly disposal of waste.
Franke Plumbing kits are designed to assist in optimising the
underside of the cabinet space and in many cases provide for better
utilisation of under-sink storage. Franke Siphon plumbing kits are
made of rigid grey polypropylene and are the hygienic solution to a
Franke sink waste system. Siphon plumbing kits have a manifold with
an incline and an air vent for faster water disposal. The relevant
plumbing kit is shown with each sink throughout the brochure.

Waste and Overflow Solutions
All Franke Basket Strainer Wastes are manufactured
from stainless steel. A stainless steel bearing is located
on the stem which is designed to stop the water flow,
and when left in position without sealing will act as a
sieve for foodstuffs.
Some Franke sinks come with a Hygienic Overflow,
which offers versatility for cleaning. Simple removal
of the logo plate reveals the overflow aperture for
easy, hygienic cleaning.
ACCESSORIES AND EXTRAS
Franke accessories are specially designed to help you get the
most out of your sink. We realise that many people use their sink in
different ways, so these products correspond to common kitchen
activities and turn your Franke sink into the ultimate multi-purpose

A range of models to choose from
Not only does the Minerva system offer conventionally
manufactured taps, but for the really discerning customer,
Franke now offers the Minerva Helix and Mondial models,
which are crafted from solid stainless steel to complement
your sink and provide an unparalleled finish.
Safety as standard
All Minerva 3-in-1 taps incorporate a 2-step safety control to
avoid accidental activation. The handle is also spring-loaded
so the flow of boiling water is instantaneously cut off upon
release of the handle. The boiling water and mixed water are
provided through completely separate channels inside the
tap, ensuring the normal hot/cold function is never mixed
with boiling water.

Discreet and suitable for almost any kitchen, the horizontal
water heating tank sits neatly under the standard 150mm
cabinet plinth, freeing up much-needed cupboard space. This

added feature of a separate pull-out Hand Spray, the
Franke FilterFlow Hand Spray system is for kitchens that
demand that little bit more.
The precision engineered taps in this range boast the full
complement of features that are present in the Franke
FilterFlow range – including its advanced wout Hand Spray
which is usually fitted into a solid surface worktop.
The standard length of hose for the hand spray is 1 metre,
however the amount that the hose will pull out is determined
by the position of the hand spray in the worktop.
The ideal hygienic kitchen solution, the spray is perfect
for rinsing food as part of meal preparation and dispenses
hot, cold or mixed water from the main supply. Each spray
is also specifically designed to reflect the aesthetic of the

Waste Bin
The tap brace is installed under the sink and
connects the tap to the worktop for extra
support. It has a variable collar to ensure it will
fit any model of tap and can be used on any
stainless sink.
Available in Chrome or SilkSteel, the Franke
Soap Dispenser provides a fast and easy to
operate hand pump for all liquid soaps. It fits
neatly and unobtrusively alongside sinks in
the worktop, its design carefully chosen to
complement the qualities of the Specialist
tap range.
The Franke Waste Bin is an inset stainless steel
system with a standard 12 litre polyethylene
container. This clever feature fits flush with the
worktop, allowing you to scoop in waste with ease.
Replace the cover and the unit is concealed
with odours safely sealed inside. The container
simply lifts out when it needs emptying.

Colours shown are for reference only. All sinks available with left or right hand drainer. The description ‘reversible’ means that the design enables the same sink to be turned to drainer on the
left or drainer on the right. In the case of a ‘handed’ sink it is necessary to specify which side the drainer is required e.g. ARX 654 left hand drainer or ARX 654 right hand drainer. All bowls
sizes and dimensions are described in mm.
Franke sinks are guaranteed against manufacturing defect for 50 years. Franke taps are guaranteed against defective materials and workmanship for 1 year in relation to coatings and
finishes (5 years for Portfolio 55 Collection), and 5 years in relation to moving parts. Franke will replace (and where appropriate repair) defective sinks. In relation to taps, Franke will, where
appropriate, provide replacement parts for your taps or replace your taps at their discretion. Any associated or ancillary costs to be incurred by you as a result of replacement of Franke
sinks and taps under this guarantee shall in all cases be previously approved by Franke UK Limited. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.
