Brandon Willis, an SCS senior, was awarded the Good
Citizenship Award by the Nancy Anderson Chapter of
the Daughters of the American Revolution, Wednesday afternoon at the DAR Tea. This prestigious award emphasizes the qualities of good citizenship among senior high
students, such as dependability, leadership, service and patriotism. The students were selected by teacher recommendation. The students were also asked to write a 500 word essay
on what it means to be a good citizen in America today.
Brandon won first place in the essay contest which earned him
a DAR scholarship. Brandon is the son of Keven and Sandra
Willis and big brother to Zach, an SCS fourth grader. We are
so proud of Brandon.
Congratulations !

Congratulations to our high school Robotics Team!
They have been invited to advance to the regional
competition on February 20. This is a great accomplishment for our rookie team who is led by Mrs. Little
and her husband Tad .
They have built the robot with grant funds, however they
are in need of extra materials for maintenance and repair
of the robot to continue competing at such a high level. If
you would like to support this team please visit
www.amazon.com and enter
SCS Robotics wish list in the
search box to see a list of needed items that are available to
purchase. You can ship it directly
to the school.
