WHAT IS VEGFEST?
Welcome to the First Annual SoCal VegFest, a free
admission, one-of-a-kind event designed to engage
curiosity and inspire consciousness in people of all ages.
This event-not-to-miss will include free plant-based food
samplings, musical entertainment, guest speakers,
cooking demonstrations, raffles, interactive booths, food
vendors, humane organizations, an enjoyable children’s
area with a variety of engaging opportunities especially for
kids, and more.
The purpose of SoCal VegFest is to introduce Southern
Californians and others to the benefits of healthy
conscious living. Our goal is to inspire and support anyone
who wants to learn more about living a more healthy,
environmentally friendly, and compassionate life.
The SoCal VegFest is run by dedicated volunteers as a
project of Animal Protection and Rescue League (APRL), a
501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization.

Bryan is an animal rights lawyer in San Diego, vegan since 1994, and co-founder

A panel of top notch chefs including Chef Tanya Petrovna, visionary founder and
former CEO of Native Foods Cafe, Jackie Sobon, cookbook author and food
photographer extraordinaire, and Daniel Mattos Director of Culinary Arts &
Hospitality at Orange County School of the Arts, will join 60 time award winning
vegan baker and home chef, Susan Asato, to judge each of the entries based on
appearance, texture, and of course, flavor.

Attorney Joan Jackson lost 120+ pounds and reversed poor health by maintaining a
70-90% raw-food lifestyle. When she realized that the raw-food world was polarized
