INTRODUCING
C
Continuing Education is an educational resource designed, organized, systematized, and programmed to expand the academic offer in the Autonomous University of Hidalgo, through
assorted activities such as courses, workshops, seminars, lectures and certification programs.
It is addressed to the whole university community and the general public. Its objective is the updating of professionals, as well as the development and training of human resources, which are
essential for enhancing competitiveness in the business market and the merchandising of goods
and services, each time more open to international competition.
In this way, the University creates a bond with society by promoting research, culture, sports, science, and technology through accredited programs and project’s associates that motivate regional,
national, and international development, where the principal issues are the integral training, the
entrepreneurship and the commitment of the students with their society.

T
he Department of Continuing Education offers students, professionals, alumni, children, and senior adults, a wide variety of courses, workshops, diploma courses, seminars, and lectures, conceived as a flexible and high quality academic offer. These are taught
by renowned scholars, researchers, artists and professors with an excellent career and the
best technological resources at the service of learning. We have researchers that are experts
in different fields.

ACADEMIC OFFER
T
he Department of Continuing Education from the Division of Community Engagement,
offers a wide range of options and different specialized academic alternatives, as well
as the necessary tools to develop the theoretical and practical skills in favor of training,
and personal and professional development within several fields, from arts to engineering,
even economics or law.
All attendees to any of our academic activities of the Department of Continuing Education
are granted a diploma, a certificate of attendance, or a certificate of participation, if the
corresponding evaluations have been accomplished accordingly.
The Department of Continuing Education also guides, advises and helps you get an international certification as part of the professionalization and updating that we promote at this
University.

Diploma Courses
They feature the quality of its theoretical-practical
approach, whose purpose is to improve or develop competences and knowledge in a specific area, through logically sequenced modules, and an recognized academic
and methodological accuracy.
Courses
We have a great variety of courses in different fields, from
middle to upper level level with international recognition; from humanities, arts, economics, to engineering,
music and ecology. Besides, we offer preparation courses
to get in a bachelor program or high school.

Languages
Come to our language courses, where you will be able to
learn English, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. We
also have a Spanish for Foreigners and Mexican Languages.
Lectures
They consist of a short oral presentation, with a minimum
length of one hour. It is given by a specialist or expert in a
specific topic to convey his or her knowledge or experience.
Workshops

In these work spaces we combine some theoretical-practical activities, developed depending on the users’ interests,
which allows them to develop competences through practice around a specific topic, promoting intensive learning.
Seminars
With these, we develop learning activities in periodical
sessions. At the end the presentation of a final product is
required as a result of a thoughtful and supported work of
the attendees.
