What is BART?
BART stands for Bureau Area Rural Transit. It is a public transportation system that is available to anyone
living in Bureau County, but is also available to anyone in LaSalle, Putnam and Marshall counties as scheduling permits. BART’s well qualified team of drivers provides door-to-door service. The fleet consists of wheelchair lift-equipped and ramped vans, making BART accessible to anyone.
How Do I Use BART?
BART is a demand/respond system. In order to schedule your ride, you need to call the appropriate BART
office. You will need to provide the following information:
Your name
The address where you want to be picked up
Time and date of your trip
Your destination
Time of your return trip
Billing information if applicable
Who Do I Call?
The BART office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Persons
on Public Aid may be eligible for payment of transportation for medical appointments.

Fares
0-5 miles: $5.00 round-trip
5-10 miles: $10.00 round-trip
11+ miles: $10.00 base fee with additional .75 per loaded mile
