and Fundraiser.
Review of Events:
--Sat., Dec. 5—9th Outlawz Christmas Toy Drive, Crest Bar and Grill
(5025 Wible Rd.). Made over $5,000
cash and received 700 toys. Really
good time. Had choir singing. Golden Empire Mustangs were thrilled as
weather smiled on us again and
brought out a lot of cars for the car
show portion. Great partnership with
GEMs and Outlawz together for putting on this event. “You guys did a
great job!”/Cory/Local Motion.
--Sat., Dec. 5—4th Classic
Dreams/Brown Effects “Ronald
McDonald House Toy Run,” Bak.
Memorial Hospital. Amazing turnout
and they raised over $15,000. All
funds stayed at Ronald McDonald
House here locally. Carnival setting
for kids was great and car show portion had a really good turnout.

Food Drive. They had 25 cars show
up to support their first effort.
--Sat., Dec. 12—Local Motion/C&P
presents 11th Operation Soulwinner

cars and bikes. Gathered 250-300

was formerly taken on by the late

and took it on with Lynn’s recent
passing and literally planned it in a
month.

--Kevin/GEM brought before the
Council that the Bakersfield Condors
want us to attend as a group at their
upcoming game on Sat., Feb. 6. We
need to try and get (100) people in
attendance and a few cars. If we get
more than (20) we get a hat for each
person. Tickets cost $22. Shooting
to try and get 50-100 to attend.
Council was excited about doing this.
--Tony Castiglione/Classic Chevys
Club and Chris Addington gave a
quick overview of what he has been
able to find out regarding the possibility of bringing back the Highway 99
event to Bakersfield. An outline was
passed out to all Reps. at this meeting that explained what the early
stages of planning have come up
with. Event will take place in the
Fall; closed cruise route on Friday
night on Chester Ave.; Saturday will
be car show event downtown with
closed off streets; and possibility of
cruise on Saturday night out to Kern
Raceway Park. Above all, we want
this to turn into becoming a charitable event which would need the
backing of 6 to 10 clubs to make this
happen. Each of these clubs would
receive an equal portion of proceeds
for their designated charity for their
help/involvement. Looking at Fall of
2016 (Sept. or Oct.). Friday night
cruise would be from like 6pm-8pm.
Saturday car show would be from
23rd St. down Chester using blocks
east and west down side streets as
well. Intent is to bring back the
young generation to be able to experience Cruising Chester, etc. DBA
(Downtown Business Assoc.) want to
post date on their site. Cathy Butler/DBA said timing was good to
bring this event back. Cruise out to
KCRP for burnout competition that
Saturday night. Please understand
these are just ideas being considered at this time for the early planning stages.
--Proposed new BCCC Patrons were
discussed and introduced at this
meeting. They are Mike
Hatcher/Central Valley Boat & RV
Show and Glen Pierce/Gotta Go Bail
Bonds. Both of these gentlemen
have done a lot over the years to
help BCCC. Motion was made by
Tom Downs/British Car Club and
seconded by Val Miller/Mopars to
approve both Mike Hatcher and Glen
Pierce as BCCC Patrons and all approved.
--Raffle and end of meeting. Meeting
adjourned at 7:45pm.
