Publish a Podcast With PodOmatic
Publish your first Podcast
Sign up for a FREE PodOmatic account online
• Go to http://www.podomatic.com
• Click Sign Up to Register
Create a user account
• Enter your information into the form.
• Your PodOmatic address will also be your username.
• You will be allowed to choose your own password.
You can also upload a picture / icon or you can Skip It for Now and continue to post
your podcast.
You will end registration at the PodOmatic homepage. You will see your name is at
the top. To post your podcast episode, click on the My Podcast tab.

Post Your Prerecorded Podcast File.
Click Post a New Podcast.
You will be guided through three steps to post your podcast.
Step 1: Select Media
You will be directed to a window that allows you to browse for your podcast on you
computer. Browse your computer for your file by using the Upload using our Flash
uploader or Upload media.
You will be able to watch the bar as your podcast is uploading.
The Upload window will indicate when your upload has finished.

Step 2: Episode Info
You may enter information about your podcast, including a title and brief description.
After you have entered the information, select the Next step button. (If you do not
want to include information, you can skip this by clicking Next step.)
This will take you to a window that will allow you to select an icon picture to go along
with your podcast.
You may also add Tags to your podcast. Select the appropriate tag from list
provided or type in a tag not listed in the Episode tags box and clicking Next step
to continue. (Again, you may skip this step by just clicking Next step.)

Step 3: Review & Publish
PodOmatic will display all the information about your podcast episode. It is at this
point you can go back and make changes by selecting the Previous step button or
you if it all looks OK, select Post Episode.
PodOmatic will determine if the file format you are uploading is correct
and allow you to convert your file if needed.
If your file needs to be converted you will see the window below.
Before PodOmatic converts your file, it gives you the option to dictate how it is
converted. It is recommended to just use the default conversion setting until you are
more experienced with posting podcasts. To view the different conversion choices
click the View Conversion Options link.
Select Save when you
have made your
conversion choice.

If your file format is OK with PodOmatic, select Post Episode.
After you post your podcast, you can send a message to let people know your
podcast is posted.
PodOmatic offers several different ways to advertise you podcast.

Most people have email so sending an email will direct them to your podcast.
After you have posted your podcast to PodOmatic, you have to Publish your
episode to make it visible on your My Podcast Page. You can do this from the My
Podcast tab and scroll down to your episodes.
Scroll down to the Manage Episodes section and if your Podcast is not already
published click the Publish Now link.
It will take a minute or so and your podcast will be available from your
My Podcast Page. From the My Podcast tab, select the My Podcast Page link.

Your podcast page will be displayed similar to the one below. When the Play button
is selected your podcast will be displayed.
The PodOmatic podcast player window will appear and your podcast will play.
Note: The episode URL is available on this page and can be copied and shared to
provide a direct link to your podcast.
You have just posted your podcast on PodOmatic.
