Edward Hospital offers free, ongoing
grief support sessions
(Naperville, IL) – Edward Hospital is offering
“Journey to Wholeness,” a program to assist people
in dealing with their grief following the loss of a
loved one.
The evening Grief Support Program meets every
Thursday, 7:30-9 p.m. in the Education Center at
Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St., Naperville.
The daytime Grief Support Program meets every
Wednesday, 10-11:30 a.m. in the Education Center.
The sessions are held year-round. Participants are
welcome to attend either group for the period of time
grief support is needed. Anyone 18 years or older
who has suffered the loss of a loved one is invited to
attend. The sessions, grief resources and refreshments
are free. First-time participants are invited to bring a

for Artists for “Restoration,”
The Alliance of Fine Art announces its juried
exhibition “Restoration” from July 22 through August
23, held at Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook,
Illinois. They are seeking all styles of 2-dimensional

any media that can be hung on the wall, and must
relate to the broad theme “Restoration.” Submitted

Mayslake Peabody Estate is home to
Mayslake Hall, an intriguing registered national
historic landmark, built between 1919 and 1921. The
theme of the exhibit ties in with the restoration that
is currently underway at Mayslake Hall. The exhibit
can be viewed Monday through Friday from 10am
to 2pm, or Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. The exhibit
also coincides with the inaugural Mayslake Peabody
Estate Fine Art Fair sponsored by the AFA, on July
26-27 on the outdoor premises.

exercise, you can greatly improve your overall fitness in less than one
hour a week. You will build muscular strength, lose body fat, rev-up
your metabolism, improve your energy level, build bone density and
firm and tone your whole body! You will not only feel better than you

too good to be true, it’s just a sensible, scientific approach to exercise.

Slow Motion Strength Training involves very slow, deliberate movements
monitored closely by a strength trainer. Moving the weights at this pace
eliminates the “cheating” elements of momentum and acceleration.
Your muscles are forced to do all the work, and do it more efficiently,
and you will also feel the cardiovascular workout incorporated in this
approach. In only 20 minutes, you get a full body work out! Because of
this workout’s intensity and efficiency, you only need to complete two
sessions per week to obtain maximum benefits.
Our strength trainers guide and encourage you through 5-6 exercises
which provide a thorough, total body workout. The exercises are
conducted utilizing specialized medical rehabilitation machines, set to
fit each person’s body frame to more precisely target and work that
person’s muscles. People having difficulty exercising due to previous
injuries or muscle strain can usually get great results training on this
equipment using the slow-motion method.
Dynamic Strength offers a work out experience that is very different
from the “gym” atmosphere which can be distracting and sometimes
intimidating. Our facility is private and quiet with no mirrors or music,
allowing for total concentration. The exercise room is kept very cool
with circulating air to prevent sweating, keeping you more energized
and eliminating the need for a shower or change of clothes.
Starting at the age of 25, women start to lose 2-3% of bone and muscle
mass per year. Without weight bearing exercise, we will experience
decreased muscle strength, increased body fat, fatigue, and susceptibility
