What's New In Version 4?
--- 4.3.1 Suite Release February 25, 2013 --IMPORTANT - All programs must be updated to the 4.3.1 as there are changes to the media.dll
In the event that you are only running one program on a workstation, partial and temporary update can
occur. You cannot run multiple OMT software applications with mixed versions. All programs should
be the same version.
--- All Programs --- New media.dll
--- Log Tools 4.3.0, Suite release April 9, 2012 --- New media.dll
ABRSF Feature
This feature is designed to streamline remote studio operation where day parting is performed at
various locations. While the ABRSF is running, it keeps the ONAIR log current by removing unused
items past their scheduled time and simply waits for the return closure back to air and automation.
How it Works: (In ONAIR)
On Start Closure,
- Turns AUTO OFF
- Disables all SYNCs
- Inserts and activates the ABRSF FEED item
- Writes "ABRSF log marker: start" into OUT log
While Running,
- Every five seconds does a Move to Current Time to keep log up to date.
On EOM Closure,
- Turns AUTO ON
- Enables all SYNCs
- Removes FEED item and marks it as Done
- Writes "ABRSF log marker: end" into OUT log
Within Log Tools Reporter
- Internal default AB remote switch feed log markers added and use the following,
> When remote feed starts -> "ABRSF log marker: start"
> When remote feed ends -> "ABRSF log marker: start"
--- Log Tools 4.2.3 --NEW - Now reads two .OUT files and merges into one based on time and/or Marker OUT log merge.
FIXED - Right clicking inside an empty category in the library blade would cause an "Access Violation"
window to appear.
FIXED - Backtiming with feeds was reading incorrectly on the On Hand time.

--- Version 4.2.2 November 14, 2011--IMPORTANT!
This is a full suite release and ALL software must be updated to 4.2.2
Voice Tracking Portal is recommended to run on its own PC.
Voice Tracking Portal cannot run with any other Media Touch applications simultaneously.
Please contact OMT Support if you have any questions with regards to update or installation of any
product.
--- All Programs --NEW - Audio .dll under Windows 7 PRO that will display left/right channels the same as with XP PRO
NEW - Database .dll that uses write through cache for last played updates.
--- Log Tools 4.2.2 --NEW FEATURE - Library window can now right click on a specific category and select the 'Edit' drop
dowm. A user definable selection can be made for mass chage of any edit field. The change would
be applied to all cuts highlighted and the edit window is labelled 'Multiple Cut Edit'
FIXED - Overwriting a "Memo" item with an item from the digital library would remain memo.
FIXED - On Hand time in attached mode in the current hour was displaying the overall time in the hour
and not the time remaining.
FIXED - Next day log would attach.
FIXED - File Open window would be blank.
NEW FEATURE - Log item icon for entries with segue (eom) override timing now shows as a blue line
inside of green circle.
FEATURE ENHANCEMENT - Log import now handles files with up to 2700 items.
FIXED - Now returns error if import log file too large.
FEATURE ENHANCEMENT - Now shows TALKBR and BREAK feed items with valid time icon
FIXED - Recent file open for station not reading feeds when first selected
FIXED - Hour Duration display time
FIXED - Total Log Duration display time
FIXED - "Back Time Log" utility, now correctly back times the log
NOTE:
4.2.2. of Log Tools now moves any Source, Fill or Sync item when you click and drag
from the time column on the left hand side. 4.2.1 Versions and older only moved the log element
when the user would click and drag from the time column and NOT copy the Source, Fill or Sync
items. Source items would refer to a ‘FIX’ length item, Fill may refer to a ‘MEMO’ item and the Sync
column may refer to a hard or soft sync.
--- Version 4.2.1 May 24, 2012 --FIXED - Issue where next day log file when opened would sometimes "Attach"
--- Version 4.2.0 - May 6, 2011 ----- IMPORTANT! For Windows 7 32 or 64 bit users ---
Please Read:
4.2.0 now contains support for Windows 7 32 and 64 bit Operating Systems as well as retains support
for Windows XP PRO SP3 only. OMT does not support Vista (any version) or Windows 7 Home or
Home Premium due to lack of network support.

Introduction

Windows 7 uses a security feature called User Account Control (UAC) that prevents modification
directly to configuration files with extensions such as .ini, .dbf, etc for applications located under
Program Files (Windows 7 32 bit) and Program Files (x86) (Windows 7 64 bit).
DO NOT attempt to modify any configuration file located in the program's working folder as the
changes will not be recognized and could potentially cause problems with the functionality of the
software.
Always make changes through the GUI of the OMT application that you have installed.
Windows 7 installation of OMT applications will require the user to "elevate" to administrator and will
also require the user to right click on the designated OMT program shortcut or program link and "Run
as Administrator". This will only be required once and will launch without elevation request after
running for the first time.
Users can choose to turn off the UAC but do so at their own discretion and this should be performed
prior to installing any OMT programs and the UAC should remain off as long as the OMT applications
are installed.
OMT applications must be installed with Admin level rights and can be configured to run under user
level rights with the proper shares and permissions set only after admin level initial installation has
occurred. Users that run the OMT applications at less than admin level rights do so at their own
discretion.
For more information please contact support at 800-726-2635 or [email protected].
--- Log Tools --NEW - - A new audio library screen and search has been added to MLT which contains drag and drop
capability.
--- All Applications --NEW - omtmedia.dll changes in all applications. This will allow user level right functionality of the
software (Windows 7 only) when the proper share access under Admin level has been setup or
created.
--- Version 4.1.2 - November 1, 2010 ----- All Programs --NEW - GMT offset to correct DST changes for both old and current DST time changes.
© 2013 OMT Technologies
5
NOTE:
ALL OMT programs must be updated to 4.1.2.
Production must be installed and run first as the Database Time Adjust Utility is contained within the
Production software. When you first launch Production after installation, a message screen will appear
that will point out the suggested time offset based in hours and for your particular time zone. This
value will vary from 4 to 6 hours dependant on PST, CST, EST, etc. time zones. Simply click "Update
Database with new times" on the suggested value and the software will create the time offset and you
can then install all other OMT apps.
Ensure the Production computer that you are updating the database time offset has the correct time
zone and DST enabled/selected.
If you are unsure, contact OMT support at 1-800-726-2635.
The new GMT offset will ensure that the correct time offset for DST is always recognized. This also
corrects a previous issue with 3.1.12 /4.1 where the last played information was anywhere from 4 to 6
hours in the futrure when checked immediately following play out from the audio library or info tab in
the ONAIR.
--- Log Tools --ADDED - Station call letters to printed documents for better station identification.
--- Version 4.0.0 – January 25, 2010 ----- LOG TOOLS --ADDED - The .OUT file now shows the rotation that played.

A VPN is required for use with VTP and RVT applications
A separate workstation is required for the VTP
Some third party vendors do not support 64 bit OS, please check with the vendor prior to
purchasing an I/O card, RAID controller, etc.
*1280 x 1024
Server screen resolution does not have to be 1280 x 1024. However, if you are running a

OMT Software applications will support a wide variety of audio cards provided they have a valid WDM
driver. Multiple cards can be installed using ASI, MOTU, *Antex, and Digigram. AoIP drivers can be
purchased through OMT in single or multiple channel licenses along with full GPIO/Audio Routing
interfaces for Wheatstone E-Series or AXIA.
* Antex does not have a valid driver that will work with Windows 7 32/64 OS at this time. However, the
listed Antex cards will interface with the 187 WDM drivers correctly and in addition, can have multiple
cards installed on one PC.

Other:
It is recommend having two hard drives in all Media Touch workstations. This allows a separate
drive/array for audio storage and access. A RAID 5 storage array is recommended for dedicated
audio servers and 8 and 12 channel Logger applications. ONAIR computers acting as a server may
also require a RAID 5 array based on the amount of recording or Production units.
·
Onboard video may not provide satisfactory performance based on the manufacturer chipset.
It is recommended to use a separate PCIe or other video card as it will provide better
performance versus onboard video. Most onboard video will perform satisfactorily based on
the later video chipset available.
