LONG BEACH COMIC CON LOGO 2014
175+ Guests
Space Expo
Animation Island
Artist Alley
Cosplay Corner
100+ Panels
and more!
WELCOME LETTER
T
hanks so much for being a part of Long Beach Comic
Con 2015! We’re very excited to have you as a guest at
what we believe is our most amazing show ever.
Everything you always loved about LBCC is here again, but
even better: a huge show floor filled with exhibitors ranging
from top comic book publishers to the best comics and toy
dealers, an Artists Alley overflowing with all your fave comics
talent, great special/celebrity guests, plus our super fun kids
area, and our biggest Cosplay Corner ever!
What we’re truly excited about is our partnership with the
prestigious Columbia Memorial Space Center, for our first
ever Space Expo. This one-of-a-kind event features interactive
exhibits, very special guests, and fascinating panels, all to do
with the wild and wonderful world of space (the real kind!).
And speaking of panels, we have a lineup that will totally
blow your mind. From the Mouse Guard panel to The
Hillywood Show, there’s truly something for everyone.
We’re always asked about guests who appear on the list but
who don’t have a “home base” on the exhibit floor – there are
times when a guest might only be participating in a signing or
a panel, so we haven’t assigned them a table. Please make sure
to check the programming schedule to see exactly what your
favorite creators are up to at LBCC, so you don’t miss them.
And don’t forget to mark your calendar now for the Long
Beach Comic Expo, happening on February 20-21 of next year
- same place, same amount of fun. Thanks so much for voting
us the “Best of the Beach” in 2014 – let’s do it again in 2015!
Enjoy the Show,
Martha & the Team
P.S. We’re excited to announce the
launch of New Jersey Comic Expo on
November 21-22, 2015 at the New Jersey
Convention Center. Visit www.newjerseycomicexpo.com for
details or ask a LBCC staff member for details!
Animation Island Banner created by Mike Morris, Joey McCormick, Ben Risbeck, Sam

Sunday, September 13

How much are tickets?
Can I take pictures?
Tickets at the door are $35 per person for a
one day ticket on Saturday, and $30 for a one
day ticket on Sunday. Tickets for a weekend
pass are $55. Children ages 10 and under are
admitted for free with the purchase of an adult
admission (limit of 2 per adult, please). Senior
citizen, military, police and firefighter discounts
are available.
Generally, you can take photographs at the
Long Beach Comic Con of the conventioneers
and exhibits. Please respect privacy and ask
before taking a picture of a celebrity, as some of
them charge for their photo and autograph.
Where is Lost & Found located?
Lost & Found is located in the main lobby at the
Registration Booth.
When is the Costume Contest?
Costume Contest begins at 7:30pm, doors
will open at 7:00pm for audience seating. The
event will run roughly two hours, and no flash
photography is allowed. Any photos or videos
taken must be for personal, non-profit use only!
Do I have to wear my badge or wrist
band at all times?
Even if it wasn’t a stunning accessory that the
Sex in the City gals would pay hundreds of
dollars for—yes, you need to wear it at all times
while inside the hall. If you are caught without
one, we will assume you did not pay the
admission fee and you will be asked to leave.
I want to dress my dog up as my sidekick
and bring him. Can I?
Sorry, no pets, except for registered service
animals. And in that case, they shouldn’t be
playing dress up.
Do I have to pay extra to get autographs?
Some guests charge for their autographs, and
some don’t. Please ask first.
To complete my costume, I carry a
large battle-axe that I hone to razor
sharpness every day. It’s cool for me to
bring that, right?
Ummm, seriously? Props are one thing, but
anything that could take an eye out, could hurt
someone, or make the cops (or my mother) take
it away from you, is not allowed. We have a strict
policy of checking weapons to ensure that they
are only props. The security guards at the entrance
will check yours and place a band on it to show
that it’s been approved. The responsibility to get
this weapons check performed is yours, so please
don’t sneak in without it. We reserve the right to
deny access to anyone who is in a costume that
presents a public safety or security issue.
POLICIES
All programming rooms have limited capacity as set by the Long Beach Fire Marshal and subject to available seating. Although
your LBCC badge is required for entry into all events, it doesn’t guarantee you access to any programming session if it has
reached its capacity, subject to the discretion of Long Beach Convention Center and Long Beach Comic Con staff members. We
don’t clear our programming rooms between sessions.
Long Beach Comic Con believes in creating an environment where every attendee, exhibitor and staff member is treated with
respect and dignity, and does not tolerate any act of bullying or harassment. If an attendee of any type is believed to be in
violation of our rules, they will be asked to leave immediately without reimbursement of any kind. Long Beach Comic Con
employs professional security guards who enforce our rules and regulations, as do our staff members. Volunteers are NOT staff
members and are assisting us in exchange for certain reimbursement and experiential value. Please report any serious incidents or
concerns to a Long Beach Comic Con Staff Member, as identified by their badge.
Why is your program book information wrong? We had to send this to the printer in late August and things may have changed
since then. Please check the handouts for updated programming information!

New Horizons & Pluto Discovered in 1930, Pluto
remained a tiny burry point of light until the arrival of

the remaining data has to show as it is played back over
the next year. After a short history of Pluto observations, the latest information from this mission will be
presented by Scott G. Edgington, Ph.D., B.S.E.
