COLUMBUS, Ohio — Researchers and homeowners were
hoping a new extermination method could be the cure to
Ohio's bed bug epidemic.
"I've seen much, much worse," said Dr. Susan Jones, an
Ohio State University Entomologist.
Jones helps locate the wingless blood-sucking insects that
are infecting more homes around Ohio, ONN's Denise Alex
reported on Wednesday.
Jones and a crew from Environmental Pest Management
were testing a new treatment to exterminate bed bugs.
The pesticides are sprayed where bed bugs are commonly
found.
"Not only is this good for purely a contact killing, but it will be
good for the next three to four months," said Greg Heid, with
the EPM." This outbreak is spread out all over the home so
it makes it a little more difficult."
