Helpful information
The transition from the Long Beach (Interstate
710) Freeway to the Gerald Desmond Bridge
has been permanently closed and will not be
replaced for about two and a half years while a
new bridge is constructed. If coming to the
Port of Los Angeles World Cruise Terminal,
take an alternate route. The Harbor (Interstate
110) Freeway comes directly to San Pedro and
the Port. For information about traffic affected
by the Gerald Desmond Bridge replacement
construction check our special page click here.
The closest U.S. Post Office to Downtown and
the World Cruise Terminal is located at 839 S.
Beacon St. Open 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. M-F and 9 a.m.4 p.m. Saturday. (And it's a really neat Art
Deco era building, well worth taking a look at.)
There's a Wells Fargo ATM at the corner of 6th
and Centre Streets, Downtown. It's just a block
from the Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Harbor
Hotel. And there's another 24-hour ATM in the
Port Police headquarters, 330 Centre Street, between 3rd and 5th Streets.
