The University of Maine at Farmington’s
Fall Fest Weekend, an annual tradition
welcoming families, friends and alumni back
to campus, is guaranteed to be a wonderful time
chock-full of festive campus-wide events.
Activities include: a presentation by President
Kathryn Foster on the current “State of UMF,”
campus tours, athletic events, golf tournament
as well as other fun events.
Families, friends and alumni are encouraged to preregister for the weekend’s events
on or before September 21, 2015.
All weekend events are included
in the $10 registration fee
($5 fee for children 12 and under).
UMF students are free with student ID.

There will be free weekend access to the
UMF Fitness and Recreation Center.

3:00 - 4:30 pm - Check-in & registration in Olsen
Student Center hallway. (Dinner with students is on
your own.)
8:00 pm - Open Mic Night in the Landing,
Olsen Student Center.
Saturday, September 26

1:00 pm - Men’s Soccer, UMF vs. Maine Maritime
Academy, Prescott Field.
1:00 – 4:00 pm - Kayaking trip at Varnum Pond led
by Mainely Outdoors. (Trip is limited to twelve people.)
1:30 pm - President Kathryn Foster will share the
current “State of UMF” and her vision for the future in
Lincoln Auditorium, Roberts Learning Center.
8:00 - 11:00 am - Check-in & registration, Olsen
Student Center hallway.
2:00 pm - Field Hockey, UMF vs. New England
College, Prescott Field.
9:00 am - Farmington Fair opens for the day.
3:30 pm - Women’s Soccer, UMF vs. Maine Maritime
Academy, Prescott Field.
9:00 - 11:00 am
- Continental Breakfast in South Dining Hall, Olsen
Student Center.
- Make a bracelet that can be sold as a United Way
fundraiser (Buttons for Babes) to help others in our
community in room CR123, Olsen Student Center.
- Write a letter to be given to your student at the end
of the year or on graduation day to share your feelings
about your son or daughter’s approach to college and
their future in Olsen Student Center hallway.
10:00 am - Campus tours, Admission Office.
10:00 am - Alumni Council meeting, Ferro Alumni House
11:00 – 12:00 noon - Senior Vanessa Berry will give a talk
on “Sustainability and Local Foods” providing insight to
the needs and wants that our students have in relation to
their dining experience on campus in room CR123, Olsen
Student Center.
4:30 – 6:00 pm - Dinner in South Dining Hall, Olsen
Student Center.
8:00 pm - BINGO in the Landing, Olsen Student Ctr.
Sunday, September 27
10:00 am - 6th Annual UMF Fitness and Recreation
Center’s Golf Scramble (four-person/shotgun start)
at Turner Highlands Golf Course. All abilities levels
welcome as this is a low-stress tournament.
The $40 per person fee includes greens fees, cart,
and contests such as longest drive, closest to the
pin and putting. For information, contact Jim Toner

10:30 - 1:00 pm - Brunch in South Dining Hall,
Olsen Student Center.
12:30 - 1:30 pm - Lunch in South Dining Hall, Olsen
Student Center. There will be a delicious menu featuring
highlighted local foods.
12:00 noon - 4 pm - Dollar movie matinee
11:00 - 4:00 pm
- Photo booth in the Landing, Olsen Student Center
- Horse wagon rides around town begin at Olsen Student
Center’s South St. entrance.
- Explore the Sandy River Farms’ ten-acre corn maze.
