Meet the Team
Keynote Speaker
Matt Woodard was hired in the fall of 2001 to manage the South Fork Snake River Home Rivers Initiative Project
for Trout Unlimited. He graduated from Idaho State University with a B.S. degree in Economics in 1976. After
that he was a managing partner in J.D. Woodard & Sons farm partnership until 1992. The family farm grew hard
red winter wheat and malting barley, he is a third generation dry land Idaho farmer. From 1992 to 2001 he
worked for Demott Tractor Company and the Imon Corporation/Bonneville County. He was one of the original
task force members that helped develop the Snake River Activities and Operations Plan on the South Fork Snake
River. He is currently the chairman of the East Side Soil Conservation District and the Chairman of the Upper
Snake River Basin Advisory Group. He was also one of the founding members of the South Fork Coalition and is a
past president of the local Trout Unlimited chapter the “Snake River Cutthroats.”
CONTECH Construction Products Inc.
Ted Jones, PE, is CONTECH’s Director of Precast Bridge Development for the Western and Southwestern Regions.
Ted has over 20 years of experience in engineering consulting, construction and construction products. He has a
B.S. in Civil Engineering from Ohio University, an M.S. from the University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A. from the
University of Texas – Dallas. Ted is a member of ASCE and NSPE.
Andrew Clark is the CONTECH Sales Engineer for Eastern Idaho. He has over 10 year experience as an
estimator and project manager in the construction industry. Andrew earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from Idaho State University.
Clayton Fawcett, PE, is an Armortec Product Specialist for CONTECH. Prior to joining CONTECH, Clayton worked
as a Regional Manager for Armortec Inc. and was responsible for the Northwest Region Hard Armor Erosion
Control sales and marketing. He earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
Chad Kitchen is the CONTECH Project Consultant for the Salt Lake City Metro and Boise Metro Areas and has been
involved with several high profile bridge projects in the state of Utah. Prior to joining CONTECH, he worked for
several years in the field of landscaping and landscape management. Chad earned his B.S. degree from Utah State
University in Horticulture with an emphasis in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning.
