HARWOOD SPRING CONCERT—The Harwood Spring Concert will be held in the theater at the Cheney Middle
School on Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00PM. West Fargo High School Technology Student Association Advisor Rich
Cwikla and his students will create a DVD of the concert and you may purchase one for $10.00 on Concert night. Mr.
Cwikla has done our concerts in past years and the quality has been excellent. A portion of the proceeds will support
students attending a National TSA Competition.

What should you wear? Wear something that looks nice on you, that you feel dressed up in. No jeans, please.
Ladies, no high heels or short skirts.
Do you have to come to the concert? Yes, unless you are sick or have a family emergency. All other absences are
unexcused.
We are looking forward to an evening of fine music!
FREE CHILDCARE DURING THE CONCERT-Daycare will be provided by the Harwood PTO at the concert on
May 21st at Cheney in the wrestling room.
MEDICATIONS/LOST & FOUND -Please remember if your child has any medication in the office it needs to be
picked up by parents by May 30 or they will be discarded. Check for your child’s missing articles in the LOST &
FOUND!! Items not claimed by May 30 will be donated to good will. Our lost and found tree and tote are located by
the front entrance.
LUNCH ACCOUNTS-As of Monday, May 13, there are 9 days left for breakfast/lunch for the school year. Low
balance letters are sent home with your child every Friday or last day of the school week. Student lunches are $1.90
and breakfasts $1.15. Please be sure that your children’s accounts are paid to the end of the year. Your child’s report
card will be withheld until all obligations are paid. Money that is left in the lunch account automatically rolls over to
the next school year, regardless of which school your child attends in the WF school district. You can check Parent
Portal for your child’s balance or you may call the office. Thank you.
You can use the PaySchools online lunch payment system for setting up a low balance
e-mail reminders even if you don’t pay online. It works like this. Click on Payschools
http://www.west-fargo.k12.nd.us/district/payschools/ on the WFPS website. If you
don’t have an account set up, you will need your student’s ID number to do that. Once
your account is set up, click on your student’s name and enter the cash amount at which you want an email
notification sent to you. This is a great way to assure that your student will have money in his/her account at
lunchtime.
“SOAR INTO READING” will be the theme for our Summer Library program this year. Please mark your calendars for Tuesdays, 4:30 to 6:30, beginning June 4 and ending July 16. Each student will receive a special book bag, bookmark, a sucker, and a glider to “soar” with. In addition, five winners will be drawn from each visit and will receive their choice of a book or poster. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to visit our library in the Harwood School and keep your student’s reading skills soaring! This library time is provided by the Harwood American Legion, so please remember to thank a Legion member. See you when you “soar” into the Library this summer! 2013-14 WEST FARGO SCHOOL DISTRICT CALENDAR
