Detailed Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia
Arrival at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport and transfer to the hotel
for check in. Enjoy the rest of today at leisure to relax or begin exploring the
treasures of Mongolia. Hotel in Ulaanbaatar is not included in the package.
Day 1: Khugnu Khan Mountain /290km-5 hours/ (L,D)
Surrender to this magical land today with the first taste of Mongolia’s fascinating landscape. Venturing into the Khugnu Khan mountain, a granite rock
formation with a semi-arid steppe full of rare wildlife. Traverse through the
ruin of the temple with the rock formation, ruined in the 13th century and
sacred mountainside. Overnight in ger camp in mountainside.
Day 2: Karakorum ruins and Erdenezuu Monastery /100km-2 hours/ (B,L,D)
Head to Mongol sand dune, extended 80km displaying a taste of the Gobi
Desert. There are grasses grow in the sand that offers food for camel so
that the place is rich in camel. Experience riding two humped camels over
the dune. Continue on adventure, drive to Karakorum, the site of the 13th
century Mongolian capital. Tour through the ancient city before moving on
the beautiful ruins of Erdene Zuu Monastery. Surrounded by huge 400m x
400m walls built from the ruins of Kharakhorum, the Erdenezuu was the
first and the biggest Buddhist monastery of the 16th century. Overnight in
Ger camp.
Day 3: Khustai NP – UB /390km-7 hours/ (B,L)
Travel to the Khustai national park and visit a small museum displaying a
collection of photos and videos about the wild horse. Take a stunning hike to
bring you closer discovering the wild horses of total about 300 adopting the
re-introduced landscapes and wildlife. Take in every last bit of the unique
scenery and savor the last traditional lunch before ending this incredible
adventure in Ulaanbaatar.
