Family Physician
We are recruiting a:
Family Physician
The Department of General Medicine (DGM) is currently looking for general practitioners to become
part of their team. The priority is to hire family physicians to work in hospital care and assume part
of the responsibility for case management in the area we cover. Specific medical activity positions
(AMPs) are also available in the emergency department and obstetrics.
Dr. Michel Camirand
Head of the Department of General Medicine
« Located in the heart
of the Eastern Townships, the
beautiful region of Brome-Missisquoi
is less than one hour’s drive from
Montreal, the CSSS La Pommeraie
is renowned for the quality of
its services. »
The DGM’s medical staffing plan includes 69 family
physicians divided into 5 departments: hospital care,
emergency, obstetric medicine, PAPA (services for frail
older adults: CHSLD – long-term health care centres,
geriatrics) and CLSC (local community service centre).
Our centre is affiliated with two universities (McGill,
Sherbrooke) and has had resident physicians for a
number of years. The efficient case management of
our patients, excellent organization of our services and
team work are the main characteristics of our work
environment. The organization of our front-line
services into family medicine groups makes us the
area in the Montérégie region where patients have the
easiest access to a family physician. All of this creates
variety and zest within the practice, and significantly
reduces any burden that could result from case
CSSS
management. Access to specialized consultation is
convivial. Laboratories and medical workups
(endoscopy, imaging, etc.) are easily accessible. All
doctors’ offices affiliated with the CSSS have real-time
access to laboratory and radiology exam results. The
CSSS La Pommeraie offers the ideal environment for a
physician who dreams of having a general practice
focusing on the human aspect, located in a vibrant
setting.
