Internal Medicine Hospitalist
Quinte Health Care
The Division of Internal Medicine at Quinte Health Care Belleville General Hospital is
seeking three dedicated General Internal Medicine Hospitalists.
A dedicated Hospitalist will provide coverage to the Internal Medicine
Hospitalist service and will also participate in the Departmental on call
schedule. The Internal Medicine Hospitalist Service acts as a clinical
teaching unit with several residents and one Attending supported by an
experienced multidisciplinary team.
QHC Belleville General Hospital has 46 acute medical beds and 14 ICU
beds, a busy emergency room, full imaging support including nuclear
medicine, a multi-slice CT scanner with a Picture Archiving and
Communication System (PACS) and an MRI.
Members of the Department of Medicine and Critical Care work in a
collegial atmosphere and include specialists in cardiology, critical care,
general internal medicine, gastroenterology, infectious diseases,
respirology and oncology.
The QHC Department of Medicine and Critical Care operates in close
conjunction with our tertiary partners at Kingston General Hospital.
There will be opportunities for faculty appointment, resident supervision,
and a variety of CME opportunities in conjunction with Queen’s
University.

Qualifications
Successful applicants will possess Royal College certification in General Internal Medicine, or equivalent, and
will be eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Excellent communication and team skills, and demonstrated leadership potential will be an asset.
