June’s meeting will be our annual mega-auction. Attached to the
email is the sellers auction form. Please try to fill it out before you
come. Bring as much product as you wish, plants, ponds, pumps, filters, statuary, etc. Anything you sell will be a 50/50 split with the
club. Audrey will have some Highland Rim aquatic plant fertilizer for
sale. The sale of which will be a donation to the Genesee Valley Koi &
Pond Club.
Our Koi show is quickly approaching, June 26-27 at Arbordale. Dawn will have sign-up sheets for set up and tear down, as
well as participants to show their fish. There will also be a basket raffle
in addition to our auction on Sunday.
Our annual pond tour will be Saturday August 1st in the Northtowns. At last count we have six ponds and one vendor, starting at
Lori Baldwin’s and ending with the picnic at Brian Schneider’s. Stay
tuned for starting time and cost for picnic.
The next BOD will be at Angie Cyrek’s Wednesday, July 1,
2015. Call ahead if you plan to attend.

Hikari Utsuri
Hikari Utsuri (HE-CAR-EE-UT-SUE-REE)

Hikari Utsuri can be considered metallic versions of Showa and Utsuri. These Koi
will have a metallic Platinum as their base color. Their skin luster is what is noted in this variety. Hikari can be translated to mean metallic luster.
Kin Showa (Kin-rin-sho-wa)
This koi is black with red
and white patterns. Their
scales have a metallic look
to them. Sometimes referred to a metallic Showa.
Kin Hi Utsuri (Kin-he-utsue-ree)This koi is black
with a red pattern. Their
scales have a metallic

Refreshments for 2015
If you would like to bring refreshments to a meeting, you will be reimbursed for
expenses for up to $25.00 (receipts must be turned into Nancy)
General info: 8-9 bottles of pop, some diet
Any refreshments or snacks of your choice: Cheese & Crackers, veggies, fruit,
chips, dip, pepperoni, salad, jello, cookies, cake, brownies, etc.
We do not have use of any kitchen supplies, so you may need to bring serving
utensils, trays, bowls, baskets, knives, or whatever is needed to serve your type
of refreshments
The club will provide: Coffee, hot cups, creamer, sugar, small plates, paper
cups, plastic silverware, napkins
