This summer all outdoor grills on the Winterplace property were replaced with brand new gas
grills. Cleaning and grilling utensils are provided with each grill. A red gas valve is located be-
hind each grill. When the valve is vertical, the gas in ON and when the valve is horizontal, the
gas is OFF. Enjoy.
Your Real Estate
Update from ...
It is hard to believe that we are saying “Good-bye” to summer and “Hello” to fall.
Let’s compare summer 2010 with summer 2009. There is hard proof that the general
Okemo Area real estate market is slowly turning around. Looking at the months of June,
July and August, for both years we find that the number of transactions this summer is up
100% and the closed sales $ volume is up nearly 200% over 2009. That said, we are still
down significantly, compared to sales transactions for the same months in 2008 but buy-
ers are slowly returning to the second home market.
The condo inventory is very high across the mountain and prices are sliding downward as
a result of the high supply and lower demand.
DEMO DAY
A Demo Day for ski equipment to be
sponsored by Winterplace & Alpine Haus
Saturday, January, 29th, 2011
from 8:30 am ~ 2:00 pm
in front of H Building.
Our best advice to sellers in this market is:
1.) Take a good look at your property and make those changes that will help your unit
stand out in a market where buyers have lots of choices. Don’t assume buyers do not
notice the small things like clutter, dated furnishings and scuffed walls.
2.) Be prepared to negotiate...know your numbers.
On a positive note, interest rates are at 30 year lows! It is fairly safe to say that we will
never see rates this low again. “NOW is the time to buy!” That is our message, help us
pass it on. Vermont Properties and Development is proud to be your preferred real estate
agency at Winterplace. As always, we are here to meet your real estate needs. How can
we help you?
