The workshops will be held at the stunning Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland. Set on the breakwater
of Westhaven Marina, participants will be able to enjoy panoramic harbour views and a tranquillity which belies the

FIRST YEAR PROGRAMME - 2015
There are three paths you can follow here at NZCHS.
1. Become a certified NZCHS Intuitive therapist. Enrol in both year one and then year two and you will gain a certificate in
NZCHS Intuitive Therapy and can practice professionally.
2. Just looking for a year of personal growth - Enrol in Year One of personal growth work - get to know yourself better and
gain assistance in moving through any emotional, psychological and ancestral blocks. Choose just year one.
3. Already in a Natural health profession and looking to add energy medicine/intuitive development to your toolbelt,
choose year one, with the option to build on that growth with year two.
Personal growth
NZCHS provides a high quality curriculum in personal transformation work. Each
in-person training week includes lectures, family constellations and dynamic
group personal process group sessions to help you delve deeply into your
personal growth journey. These sessions are held in such a caring and loving way
by experienced staff who know exactly what to do and how to help you move
through your unconscious blocks, limiting patterns and faulty negative belief
systems. The only way is through!

Meditation
At the start of each in-person training, we will have guided meditations led by
psychic medium Karen Reid. She will lead and teach you how to tune in to
yourself through your chakra and aura system. Group meditations provide a
powerful healing platform for the rest of the training. Techniques will be taught in
healing yourself, grounding, aligning your energy and relaxing your mind.

Intuitive development
Developing your intuition is just like going to the gym and building a muscle –
you won’t be superman overnight, but it will happen if you practice practice practice! At the in-person training weekends we will have practice sessions where
we ‘read’ each other and discuss techniques, strengths and difficulties. NZCHS
teachers are highly trained and experienced so this is a trusted, compassionate,
mindful and safe environment that supports clean, accurate and clear intuitive
reading practice.

Energy medicine
Energy medicine is the study of the human energy – consciousness system,
including all the defence dynamics and control dramas that go with it. You
will be taught about how your energy system works, how the chakras and aura
work and what patterns you are habitually running both personally and through
inherited ancestral patterning. You will be provided with a tool belt of new
healing techniques including grounding and clearing energy – for personal and
professional use. We will explore health and illness through
a new model of holistic health through energy medicine curriculum using new
ideas that revolutionise conventional models of viewing health.

2015 CURRICULUM
Family constellation
Each of us belongs to a family system extending over several generations. When
the family system is balanced, the individuals within it can receive the generational flow of love from those who came before them, and they can pass it on to those
who follow. However, families can only function harmoniously in this way when
each family member belonging to the system has an equally valued and respected
place within it.
In Family Constellation work the focus is on revealing those unconscious and
trans-generational patterns of entanglement and then seeking to find a new solution. Relationships can then be re-aligned, allowing healing forces to flow freely.
Family Constellation therapy was pioneered by the innovative German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger, and has gained rapid international attention over the last
decade. The method incorporates techniques, procedures and experiences from
other psychotherapeutic approaches including Systemic Family Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Intergenerational Theories, Primal Therapy and
Behaviour Therapy. Led by Angelika Chisholm - who originally brought this work
to New Zealand, NZCHS group sessions are very powerful and healing.

Art, music & play
As human beings we must be able to balance our lives – relax, have fun and play.
Art and Music are wonderful tools to help us loosen up a bit and here at NZCHS
we are all for having fun and relaxing from a full day of personal growth work!
Students will be required to do an art project throughout the year of their own
choice – It can be absolutely anything. Here is an opportunity to express your
individuality and true essence. At the end of each year we will have an evening of
Art Music and Play where we invite our family and friends along to the Royal NZ
Yacht Squadron Ballroom for a night of fun, dancing and experience presentations
of all the art projects.

Intuitive Therapy: Professional Practice
SECOND YEAR PROGRAMME 2015
Graduates of the the first year “Intuitive Therapy: Personal Growth” programme
will be invited to enrol in the College’s second-year programme – “Intuitive
Therapy: Professional Practice”.
This course is for those who want to build on the work completed in Year One
and who wish to become NZCHS Intuitive Therapists.
The curriculum builds on the therapeutic skills learned in the Personal
Development programme, along with business skills to help you build a successful
practice, including marketing and business planning.
A Professional Code of Conduct is being written for this newly created healing
modality – intuitive therapy. As we are working with telepathic/intuitive abilities
it is important here at NZCHS to hold strong ethical psychic boundaries and
adhere to this code personally and professionally.
FACULTY
Karen Reid – Founding Director & Facilitator
Dip. BHS (USA). Accredited Member NZBHS Practitioners Assn, Founding director
of The Healing Company, Member Board of International Alumni Advisory Barbara
Brennan School of Healing, President NZBHS Practitioners Assn.
Karen Reid is a BHS Practitioner who graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of
Healing in 2007. She has been using her finely tuned psychic abilities in practicing
energy healing for thirteen years. She specialises in all energetic ‘female issues’ including
miscarriages, abortions, fibroids and cysts on the ovaries, infertility, PMT, eating
disorders and emotional challenges. She can also help you to connect with your own
spiritual guidance system.
Karen is highly experienced in helping clients overcome habitual negative patterns, lack
in creativity, boredom, depression, sadness, grief, low self esteem, and uncertainty, lack
of clarity, relationship problems, and physical disease.
Karen has always had a calling to Maori spirituality. She has been taught karakia and
ancient cultural ritual practice by several Maori elders over the years, and trained at
Auckland University in Maori culture with Dr Ranginui Walker and Pita Sharples.
She has also been taught the dreamtime with a well-known Aboriginal elder in Australia.
Karen can perform cleansing ceremonies for any occasion using the ancient wisdom and
also calls on native American Indian rituals, bringing a sense of peace and zen to any
situation.
Karen Reid is Founder and Director of The Healing Company Ltd, Founding President
of BHS Practitioners Assn NZ Inc, and founding director of the New Zealand College of
Holistic Studies. In 2010 Karen starred on the reality television series The Apprentice NZ
(TV2). She is also an award winning fashion designer.
Jonathathan T Bessone
CMT, BHSP, BIP
Jonathan is an inspired teacher, visionary and healer. He started his path 22 years ago as a firewalker and breathworker and has been pushing the boundaries of transformational work ever
since. Having trained in over 20 different therapeutic modalities, Jonathan brings a rare depth
and breadth of experience to his work.
Jonathan’s approach is interdisciplinary and addresses the full range of our multi-dimensional
nature as human beings. He walks between the grounded physicality of bodywork, anatomy &
physiology, the depths of archetypal and energy psychology, and the profound understandings
of esoteric spiritual traditions, including Buddhism & Cross-cultural Shamanism.
Jonathan taught at the prestigious Barbara Brennan School of Healing in both Miami and
Japan over a period of 10 years, working with over a thousand student healers in that time.
Jonathan is currently on the faculty at the Lionheart Institute of Transpersonal Healing in Los
Angeles, and is a facilitator on the Hero’s Journey, an outdoor experience in mythic living.
Jonathan’s private practice focuses on awakening facilitation and professional mentoring for
visionaries, teachers, therapists, coaches and healers. Jonathan is the founder & co-owner of
Embodied Awakening, and teaches workshops in the US and Japan. He is known for his relaxed
and grounded presence, wisdom, humor and commitment to lovingkindness as a way of life.
FACULTY
Angelika Chisholm – Facilitator of Family Systems Constellations
Dip.Soz.BRD. MNZAC MDAPAANZ/accredited clinical supervisor
Angelika’s experience spans more than 25 years in Germany and New Zealand,
beginning in the mental health field where she first worked with families within a
systemic therapy framework, and culminating now in Family Constellation work.
A group therapy specialist, Angelika has developed skills in a wide range of specialist
counselling areas including alcohol and substance abuse, trauma recovery and mental
health. More recently she has been assisting families in distress. She was among the
first to bring Family Constellation work to New Zealand, and the first Auckland-based
practitioner.
Angelika is warm and embracing, and readily creates a safe environment, appropriate
for individuals to explore their issues. She brings to her work empathy and compassion,
openness and insight; and she has the ability to deal effectively with the challenging
situations and issues that an individual and a group can face.

All pricing includes GST.
A Tax Invoice Receipt will be sent to you when each payment has
been received.
Credit card details will be used solely to pay tuition fees. Once paid,
the card details will be deleted from our system.
Students are responsible for making all payments on time, and for
setting up monthly automatic payments to NZCHS if applicable.
Please refer to your bank for assistance with APs if necessary.
A $20 fee applies to all late payments.
Any student who is not current and up to date with their tuition will
not be granted entry to in-person training.
Students wishing to withdraw from the programme must do so in
writing either via email, registered post, or a tracked courier service.
Cancellations must be received by the College no later than 10 days
prior to the next tuition date.
A student can be dismissed at the discretion of the College for
insufficient progress, non-payment of costs or failure to comply with
College standards and policies.
The deposit amount of $1,500 paid on enrolment is non-refundable –

made, or the College does not accept the student’s enrolment in the

Platinum and Gold refunds will be pro-rated for the number of
training days still remaining from the date of cancellation (except for
tuition held within the 10-day cancellation period), less any applicable
administration and bank fees.
Silver Plan payments for training held within the 10-day cancellation
period still apply. Payments received after the cancellation period
will be refunded, less any applicable administration costs and bank
fees.
Refunds will be made within 30 days of receiving the cancellation.

Informed consent and release
I have registered for the New Zealand College of Holistic Studies
(NZCHS) which includes classes and other related activities offered
by the school.
I understand and agree that videotaping, audiotaping, recording
on any device and photographing of all or any portion of the
programme is strictly prohibited.
I have been informed that the general nature of the programme
and the techniques used therein are designed to provide training in
the art of Intuitive Therapy and will present situations that may be
physically, spiritually or emotionally stressful at various stages of
the programme.
I agree not to reproduce, copy, or otherwise duplicate, publish,
or disseminate in any way any such materials without the express
written permission of NZCHS and I further agree not to use the
name or, or hold myself to be an agent, employee, or representative
of the school without the express written permission of the school.
The school has informed me that the programme is designed for
healthy and emotionally stable people and that a person who, as
a result of a physical, mental or emotional disorder, is unable or
unwilling to explore2 spiritually or emotionally stressful situations
or unable to deal with other aspects of the programme should
not enrol in the programme, or remain as a participant of the
programme.
Under no circumstances will I teach any of the NZCHS materials or
conduct any workshops or seminars using NZCHS materials. I am
aware that I may not, for any reason, use Karen Reid or NZCHS’s
name for purposes of advertising for any of my personal workshops.
I understand and agree that during and after attending the College
and even after I have graduated from the programme, I cannot
conduct any practice of any kind unless the laws and regulations of
my country allow me to do so; my attendance at the programme by
itself confers no such right or entitlement to do so.
I understand that if the College determines that I need even
more personal support, it can require – at any time throughout
the programme – that I participate in weekly bodywork or
psychotherapy sessions or physician or other healthcare
professional of my choice in order to remain a student in the
programme.
If at any time I feel that I am unwilling or unable to engage in
any exercise or aspect of the programme or if I experience any
unwanted symptoms or unusual discomfort or stress, I agree to take
responsibility for myself as well as informing the person leading the
programme at once.
I agree to be responsible for my own wellbeing at all times during
this course of study. I acknowledge that the programme will
involve students practicing on each other and that therefore there
will be occasions when one or more students will be practicing on
me. I consent to this and I agree that the school will not be liable
or responsible in any way for any aspect or outcome of this student
practice.
I acknowledge the importance of the confidentiality of the identity
and conversation of other participants in the programme and agree
not to divulge or discuss what goes on in the programme outside of
the classroom. I further agree not to use any mailing list of students
in the programme without the consent of the students.
I understand that it is the College’s position that I am not prepared
or permitted to provide NZCHS Intuitive Therapy services until I
have graduated from the 2-year programme.
I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to follow all
applicable laws, codes, ordinances and regulations in relation to
my practice of, including my observation of, and whether or not for
financial gain, the information taught by the College.
I understand and agree that all written or other material s which
may be presented during the programme are the property of the
New Zealand College of Holistic Studies.
If for any reason weekend training classes have to be rescheduled
due to circumstances beyond the College’s control, such as
inclement weather, personal tragedy, or illness, classes will be
rescheduled at the sole discretion of the College. Any such
rescheduling shall not in any way affect the student’s financial
obligation.
I understand that you are relying on this agreement in accepting me
into the school, and I agree that if I violate any one or more of these
conditions at any time, and as a result therof any claim is made
or action is taken against the College and/or any of its teachers,
staff, directors, or employees, I will indemnify and hold harmless
the College and/or any of its teachers, staff, directors or employees
from any costs and expenses incurred (including legal fees).
I hereby assume for myself, heirs, executors, administrators, and
assigns, all risk of physical and emotional injury which may occur
during or after the programme. I agree to release and hold the
College, its employees, contractors and agents harmless from any
liability, loss, cost, or damage arising out of my participation in the
programme.
I understand and accept the foregoing rules and regulations as a
condition to my acceptance into the College and as a continuing
condition to my remaining in good standing as a student in the

I understand that any alteration of this Informed Consent and
Release automatically cancels my admission into the programme.

to cover my participation for the entire duration of the programme
