SPECIFICATION AND INVENTORY
The Niagara 31 is a great sailing cruiser built by Hinterhoeller Yachts. There were about 100 of these German Frers designed
sloops which gained a reputation as great sailing vessels with a good cruising interior. The design offers sleeping for five in
three berths, ample storage space and reasonable 6'1" headroom. This particular boat is well equipped and has received an
intensive maintenance schedule over the past couple years, she is ready for some new sailing adventures.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND EQUIPMENT
Rig: Mast Stepped June 2016
• Windex Replaced
• Steaming light fixture replaced
• Mast top navigation light and anchor light replaced with quality LED bulbs
• New VHF/AIS antenna installed
• All wires re-routed to main wire channel
• Deteriorated plastic retaining sliders replaced with aluminium
• Aluminium mast base re-manufactured
• Mast & Spreaders cleaned, spreader wheels installed

• New Harken Mark IV Furler installed
• Mast re-stepped and rigging tuned Engine & Mechanical: Engine starts clean, runs very well and is a good match for the
vessel. This engine was inspected by Gartside Marine and they did a full service which included the following.
• Heat exchanger removed serviced and reinstalled Fall 2015
• Engine, Gear Oil and Fuel/Oil Filters Changed Fall 2015
• Manifold removed and resealed Fall 2015
• Raw water pump rebuilt Fall 2015
• Hurth Gear/V-drive unit removed and shaft seals replaced Fall 2015
• Engine alignment done Fall 2015
• Cutlass Bearing Replaced August 2016
• Oil and filter changes will be due Fall 2016
• 15k Fuel treatment regularly added to diesel fuel
• Note Engine hours estimated between 3000 and 3100 hrs as the hour meter stopped in 2014 at 2906. Deck:
• Foredeck and cabin top core replacement Fall of 2015 (Medynski Marine)
• New foredeck dorade
• Installation of a 50 Watt solar panel on companionway trunk, Spring 2016
• Rebuilding of glass and wood dodger framing, Spring 2016
• The propane storage locker was cleaned out to allow for two 10lb bottles. Propane plumbing simplified and new regulator

• 2 New 6 Volt golf cart batteries with oil treatment installed June 2015
