Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. First of all, I would
like to thank the Lord and express my gratitude to you for your faithful and, in many cases,
sacrificial efforts to serve Christ as a congregation this past year. Our Executive Pastor, Bruce
Stallings, will be giving a brief update in our services this coming Lord’s Day, January 10.
Our ministry theme in 2015 was Thy Word Is Truth and our theme verse was John 17:17. I
am extremely excited and looking forward to pursuing our new ministry theme for 2016, which
is both needed and appropriate—Led by the Spirit. This is drawn from our verse for the year,
Roman 8:14, For all who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God. This ministry theme/verse
will be the focus of this Lord’s Day morning worship service as we commence this important
focus for this new year. As a reminder, Sunday evening, January 10 is one of our most important
worship services as we ordain and install our elders and deacons along with our new Young
Business Leaders City Director, Rob Genin.
Brothers and Sisters, we live in an age where the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit is
either distorted or neglected; yet in these days of challenges and extraordinary opportunities His
power and presence has never been more needed. Pray with me that as we pursue this theme
throughout the year we become more and more Led by the Spirit each day.
We are extraordinarily blessed to serve Christ with all of you.
Come, Holy Spirit, Come!

SLOW— Children Crossing
The Lord has provided us with a wonderful multi-use facility at Briarwood.
We are blessed to have many scheduled (and unscheduled) ministry activities each
and every week. Please be very patient when traveling around perimeter road
during the school year, particularly during carpool.
When the carpool line has stopped on perimeter road, please remember children may
be crossing the crosswalk to parking lot “A” and are not visible until they reach the
middle of the crosswalk. If you must pass in the “middle” lane, proceed with extreme
caution at about 4 miles per hour—the safety of our children depends on it.
