***UPCOMING EARTHQUAKE DRILL – FRIDAY, JUNE 3RD
The staff and students will be continuing to practice
how to react in the event of an earthquake. We do
these drills several times a year but in June we like to
practice our procedure to the point of “student release”.
On Friday, June 3rd, students will assemble in family
groupings on the school field as per our earthquake
procedure. The school building will be locked and the
gates of the drive-thru will also be locked. We will open
the gates that separate the track from the church parking lot. Students
will be released as parents/guardians check in with our release staff. Please
ensure whoever is picking up your child (including daycare) on June 3rd
is listed on your emergency contact information form (submitted with
your registration package). We will begin release at 2:30. If you are
available to pick your child up early, please come to the fence by the field at
2:30. All children must be picked up by 3:30. If it is raining hard on June 3rd
we will reschedule our drill to Thursday, June 16th.

2016-17 STUDENT SUPPLIES FOR GR.’S 2-7 - REMINDER
Dear Parents,
Assumption School is offering parents of students in Grades 2 to 7
the ability to order their child’s (children’s) school supplies for the 201617 school years from the ‘School Start’ company. As always, this is
offered for the convenience of parents and is NOT A MANDITORY
program.
This company encourages parents to place their orders online and can be paid for
on a secure payment site; they offer parents the option of having the supplies
delivered directly to their homes or to OLA school.
The supply order form was sent home with your child (children) last week. The deadline
for sending in a Manual Order form to the school office is: JUNE 10TH, 2016. Please
make all cheques payable to: SCHOOL START.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
The OLA School office staff would like to say thank you to Mrs.
Kotopski for her hard work this year as our Uniform Coordinator
– the number of items left in our ‘Lost and Found’ bins are the
smallest they have been in quite some time.
We would also like to say thank you to Mrs. Corpuz who has been
our ‘Attendance Note’ parent this year. You have done extremely
well with a very difficult job.
