SCCHCC Club Meeting June 6th,2014
The Meeting was held at the Valley Church Calero Ave, San Jose, Ca. 95123.
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 PM. By president Tony Wollesen.
1.
The minutes from the last meeting on April 4th, 2014 were read and approved.
2.
Treasurers report.
Bill Lewis gave the treasurers report and our club has $14,363.45 in the bank. We have
in reserves $3785.35 that will be used to pay outstanding bills from the Blossom Tour.
3.
Old business:
There were reports on both the Coyote Creek Ranch and the Blossom Tour.
1. The Coyote Creek Ranch was a lovely peaceful day spent on the veranda. Everyone
brought their lunch and enjoyed the quiet time resting and visiting with each other.
2. The Blossom Tour was a wonderful success, even though the weather was quite hot
and the drives were long. Tony Wollesen deserves a great big thank you from all who were
able to attend. Tony says that he can’t take all the credit, because he had a lot of helping
hands.
Special thanks to the Azevedo’s for their wonderful Hors d‘ oeuvres. Special thanks to the
Morrison’s for their road assistance, which was used quite a bit, and for the Neil’s for their
great coffee break stop. Everyone was quite impressed with the wonderful spread, thank each
and everyone of you.
4.
Sunshine report.
Our sunshine news has bad and good news. First the good is that Chet Zimmerman has
recovered from pneumonia and is feeling much better. Barbra Lawrence is doing well, her
daughter reports that she is happy and well, living in a care home, and is soon to have another
birthday.
Our sad news is that one of the men on our Blossom Tour, Tony Costemagna, from
Bakersfield, passed away just after returning from the tour, but his wife says that the good news
is they had a wonderful last few days together being on the tour.
5.
Our next meeting will be held on August 1st,2014 at K Kay & Bill Lewis house at
8:00PM. Please come and join us. Their address is: 315 Escobar Avenue, Los Gatos, Ca.
95032
Respectfully Submitted.
Secretary Julie Chulick.
