W elcome, Each year we look forward to this event at the Squaw Creek Ranch Division showcasing the results of our matings both in phenotype but also in performance ability. We were active in starting a ranch horse competition show and sale in 2001 and 2002 at Ardmore, Oklahoma. We’ve always wanted to enhance and promote the riding of the ranch horse. The AQHA has taken the lead with this effort in the Ranching Heritage Challenges and the versatile class. We have also felt the need to encourage and reward our customers with our own A Bar Ranch Cowhorse Classic Futurity. A Bar Ranch bred 2 years of age and younger starting this year 2016 are eligible to compete in our annual futurity held in conjunction with the Cowhorse Classic first one to be held in 2018. This event will have an added 20,000 in cash awards but doesn’t require the sale of your horse. We will have 5 classes to compete in with no nomination fees; Ranch Conformation, Ranch Trail, Ranch Cattle Handling, Ranch Sorting, Ranch Cut and Capture.
