Launching the SolarBEAT Research Facility in
close collaboration with TU/e building physics.
Analyzing Integration aspects
Prototypes used to determine the Performance Model
• Performance (kWh/min) under realistic climate
• Preferably one full year = all seasons
• Building integration aspects (durability, water tightness,
thermal, moisture, wind load, etc…)
• Electrical integration aspects
• Feedback from architects and project developers (a.o. on
aesthetics)
Learning points can be adapted by project partners directly,
leading to continuous product improvement cycles.

• A prepared roof such that dummy building structures can
be mounted.
• A fully equipped weather- & solar-station.
• Equipment for accurate measurement of temperatures and
electrical performance.
