Welcome back Sifu Shane!! We are all happy to see you
back on your feet and back at the school teaching. The
school is not the same without you, so please take good
care of yourself...the school and students need you!
It’s official...Kung Fu Summer Camp is scheduled for the
week of August 8th-12th from 9:30am-1:30pm daily. If
you have not registered yet, please do so as space is
limited! The summer camp is open to all, so feel free to
invite friends and family to join in the fun! The children
can look forward to:
 Basic & Advanced Punches/Kicks, Stances & Forms
 Weapons Sparring, Board Breaking, Games and much
more!
Announcements/Reminders
 Belt testing will now be conducted once a month on the last
Saturday of every month. You are welcome to invite family &
friends to support & cheer you on as you advance to the next
level.
 Please remember to show respect to our Grand Master, Sifu
Shane, instructors and the school by doing your Kung Fu salute
in-between the two Lion Dogs when entering or exiting the
floor.
 Please make sure to place your personal belongings in one of the
cubbies next to the front office.
 Everyone should be in proper uniform when participating in class,
this means the Kung Fu shirt/Kung Fu top, pants and sash. We
realize summer weather is finally upon us, those wearing the
Fung-Fu tops do not need to wear the black KF shirts
underneath.
Events
Kung Fu Panda/Parents Night held May 21st, was a huge success!
The evening began with activities such as the relay races, dodge
ball, limbo, etc. Prior to dinner, the children were taught the basic
stances and movements of the main characters in the Kung Fu
Panda movie (Mantic, Crane, Tiger, etc). They all were having tons
of fun and by this time were definitely ready to eat!
While the children were eating we were preparing for our feature
presentation: Kung Fu Panda. Once our make shift movie theatre
was completed, the lights were dimmed and the movie began. It
was amazing...the room was so quiet and the children & some
parents/instructors were all attentively watching the movie! It gave
us helpers a moment to relax while preparing the popcorn.
The evening was concluded with board breaking and a goody bag.
Everyone was so excited to break the boards, a few were a bit
scared at first but once they broke the board they didn’t want to
stop! It was nice to see the kids having fun and to know the parents
were able to enjoy a few hours to themselves as well. Special
thanks to our instructors: Alicia Cacares, Jessica Tan and Lionel
Pioblete, parents: Tina Miranda & Donna Jaracz for helping
throughout the entire evening! Also to Maria DeGuzman (Kyle &
Tim’s mom) for baking the delicious Panda cupcakes for dessert and
to all the parents who helped clean-up while waiting for your
children...Thank you all so much!
