Rockin’ out for FLITE
(Berwyn, PA) On a recent October evening, the Main Line School of Rock in Berwyn generously donated its facility for a musical fund-­‐raiser for the Foundation for Learning In Tredyffrin/Easttown (FLITE). The event raised over $2,000 to enable the local education foundation to fund programs that support academic achievement and innovation in T/E. FLITE supporters rocked to the music of talented student musicians, enjoyed food from local restaurants, and bid on fabulous silent auction items. Thirteen students from Conestoga High School, Valley Forge Middle School and Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School provided the musical entertainment. Event coordinator, Kate Stone, of Wayne, and student volunteers from Conestoga High School’s FLITE Club and Valley Forge Middle School Builder's Club ensured that the evening ran smoothly. Dan McMonigle of the Dan McMonigle Team, event sponsor, at Prudential Fox and Roach was the perfect emcee. Aneu Bistro, Fellini’s Café, Bravo Pizza, Bravissimo Pizza and Pasta provided complimentary food, and primary food event sponsor, Dan Corenzwit, of Melt Down in Wayne, prepared delicious grilled cheese sandwiches onsite. Tei Salon, Salon D’Artiste, Skirtin’ Around, Ellie, George’s Music, Flag Lady, People’s Light and Theater, Massage Envy, Kiwi Yogurt, Cupcakes Galore, Five Guys and Winberie’s Restaurant donated items for the silent auction.
