Croatian shipyard with a long tradition and
experience in designing and building various
types of ships, always significant in their class.

BRODOSPLIT is founded in 1922 by
joining of few minor shipyards in Split, but
the shipbuilding tradition is considerably
longer, since the significant development
was noted in the nineteenth century
already. We’re at the present location
since 1932.
BRODOSPLIT is located in the northern
part of Split, very close to one of the
largest sea ports in Croatia. It is also
some 20 km away from the international
airport and 10 minutes from the center of
the city.

complete tool making process and modern heat and

characteristics

Concrete sleeper length is 260 cm and mass
is 300 kg. Leaning surface is 6800 cm².
Sleeper is made of MB60 (PBAB87), or
C50/60 (EC2) concrete, and it is reinforced
with pre-stressed wires and plates.
>
Manufacturing process is automated,
continuously monitoring specific parameters
of technological process (number of pieces,
pre-stressing force).
>
First series of concrete-reinforced sleepers
inspection has been carried out at Technical
institute in Munich and the result were
considerably above set criteria. Sleepers
were tested for static and dynamic load, a
well as material fatigue.
>
Testing was conducted according to
European standards (EN 13230) and
recommendations of the German railways.

Steel sleepers, made in manufacturing plants of DIV
Company, are produced for use in all Croatian railway
nets.
