50 year’s old… a life, an history…
History of a family dedicated to the art of living and passion for a region
In 1958, Jo Tournier, native of Chamonix, as a real visionary, he creates Le Lana. He believes in
Courchevel and contributes to the fame of the resort.
With its 20 rooms, the small hotel offers unique services for that time. First 4 star hotel in
Courchevel, Jo Tournier and his wife Catherine, will have no respite than to enlarge and restore
their chalet. They knew how to bring an international clientele worried about a certain lifestyle in
the small resort of Courchevel, which will become the nicest and the most famous one of the Alps.
They have 2 children Eric and Nicolas, invested by a family vocation: the art to receive
In 1993, when Jo disappeared, Nicolas took back the torch. By now, the original chalet has
extended and is made of 55 rooms, 28 suites and 2 appartments.
50 year’s old… maturity and plenitude
The Lana celebrated its 50th anniversary in December 2008…
The season 2008/2009 saw the creation of new rooms and prestige suites answering an always
increasing demand.
The decoration allies comfort of materials with the modernity of equipments. Colors honey, sand
and chocolate offer sweetness and peace of mind.
Volume, character and quality of the materials are magic words. The wood, the stone and the
fabrics compete in elegance to dress the spacious rooms.
Each room or suite has its own character and ambiance.
Bathrooms are covered of marble and wood. Bathtubs have spa bath, the hammam and the sauna
offer lighting effects.
The bar has been rethought and the profound chocolate-brown color sofas welcome you after noon
for a tea near the fireplace or for a cocktail in the setting sun with the sound of a jazz music.
New fitness room welcomes the most sportive ones with the best equipments.
The spa by Clarins offers 6 new cabins to prolong the benefits of a stay in altitude.
Rooms and suites

La Table du Lana
Dynamic and punchy, Guy Martin leaves his mark on the gastronomic menu of «La Table du
Lana», the restaurant of the Hotel in Courchevel 1850. After a full renovation in 2008/2009 and
the gaining of its fifth star, Le Lana adds a new feature to its grandeur and asks the 2-stars Michelin
Chef Guy Martin to create the gastronomic menu of its restaurant.
uy Martin, a versatile Chef who started in the Savoy region, has improved his talent and know-how
at “Le Grand Véfour” (Paris), at the “Sensing” (Paris and Boston) and at the “Cristal Baccarat Room”.
“I met the Tournier Family in 1984, we used to attend the same circles in Savoy, and this partnership seems now to be natural” explains Guy Martin. “At Le Lana we want to develop local food
using the regional products and ingredients I cherish, while elaborating a modern and contemporary cuisine”.
A return to the roots and a strong commitment for bringing new flavours to Le Lana without losing
the innermost values of the Hotel, even after 50 years.
You will find the best wines from the most well known to the small producers looking for the best.
The restaurant is open every day for lunch with a large buffet choice served on terrace on
sunny days.
The restaurant is open every day for dinner.
