Marietta Square Art Walk: April 3rd, 2015
Marietta, GA (March 8, 2015) – The 8th Annual Marietta Square Art Walk officially begins April 3,
2015, and continues each first Friday through November. Art lovers enjoy an evening stroll through
the charming streets of Marietta Square during this free, self-guided tour featuring local art and live
music. The Beer Garden, a beer and wine garden nestled behind Cool Beans and Hemingway’s,
continues during this 2015 season. Guests of the “Garden” can purchase cold beverages and enjoy
live music while watching art come alive in Atherton Square.
Event-goers can expect local restaurants, boutiques, and galleries to offer extended evening hours
for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Throughout the evening, artists display their works for sale
along the sidewalks in front of participating boutiques, restaurants, and cultural organizations. One
artist each month is awarded “Best in Show,” and given the opportunity to display art in November at
one of three local gallery sponsors: dk Gallery, Red Door Gallery & Studio, and 2 Rules Fine Art. Art
Walk guests may also vote for “People’s Choice Award” each month.
Art Walk is currently accepting applications. Artists interested in participating may apply online
throughout the year at www.ArtWalkMarietta.com.
