25th annual Industrial Trade Show
I

Provide information
by setting up display
booths about your business
and services at the 25th annual Texas City-La Marque
Chamber of Commerce
Industrial Trade Show. We
invite Chamber members to
participate from 11 a.m. to 6
p.m. April 21 at the Charles
T. Doyle Convention Center, 2010 Fifth Ave. N., Texas
City.
Potential buyers, including
large corporations from the
Galveston County area, will
be in attendance. This will be
the perfect opportunity for
Chamber members to invite
engineering, maintenance,
operations, purchasing and
business personnel from the
local community to discover
what each exhibitor has
to offer. Due to demand,
contract and check must be
received by April 2 in the
Chamber office.
Booths will be offered
to Chamber members on
a first-come, first-served
basis. A Trade Show contract needs to be signed and
Exhibit ... Buy and Sell ... Network
returned by mail or faxed to
the Chamber office, with a
check or credit card instructions, confirming your booth
space. Electrical needs will be
addressed on an as-needed
basis. Please specify on
the contract your electrical
needs. Booth space price
is $500 for a single booth.
Other options are listed on
the contract. The entry fee
includes a 10-foot-by-10foot booth, table, two chairs,
drapes and sign. Also, please
note the necessity of supplying a door prize ($25 value)
for the show.
Refreshments, door prizes
and promotional advertising
giveaways will be given away
throughout the day. There
will be a brief orientation for
exhibitors on the morning of
the Trade Show at 10 a.m. at
the Convention Center.
Participation in the Industrial Trade Show is your

After an eight-year career in the National Football League, Spencer Tillman
today serves as the lead studio analyst for
CBS Sports coverage of College Football
Today and the NCAA Men’s Basketball
Tournament. He served as sports anchor
for WABC-TV NewYork from 1997 to
1999, and also spent ten years as sports
anchor for KPRC-TV Houston. He also
served as an anchor for the regional
broadcasts on Fox Sports Net. In 2005,
Tillman published his first book,“Scoring
the Red Zone: How to Lead Successfully
When the Pressure is On.”

A freshman All-American running
back for the University of Oklahoma
(1982-86), Tillman was captain of the
1985 national championship team.
He was the recipient of many awards,
including UPI Player of The Year in the
Big Eight Conference in 1982, Big Eight
Football Newcomer of the Year in 1987,
and most valuable player of the 1987
Orange Bowl. He completed his career
with the Sooners with 2,257 yards on
434 carries, for 5.2 yards per carry, ranking him 12th on OU’s career rushing
list. In 1987, Tillman was drafted by the
Houston Oilers.
During the seven-month off-season,
he honed his skills as an anchor and
reporter with KPRC-TV in Houston.
A team captain and member of the
Houston Oilers for two seasons (198788), Tillman was traded to the San
Francisco 49ers, where he stayed for
three years (1989-91), serving as team
captain in 1990. His eight-year NFL career as a running back was highlighted
by a Super Bowl championship with
the 49ers during the 1989 season. In
1992, he was traded back to Houston,
where he completed his football career
in 1994.
His football and broadcasting careers
developed in tandem as he hosted two
sports talk radio magazines in Oklahoma City prior to his television work.
Tillman earned a bachelor’s degree in
journalism from Oklahoma in 1986, and
a second degree in communications in
1988. He earned his bachelor’s degree
in journalism in 1986 and a bachelor’s
degree in communications in 1988 from
Oklahoma University.
He and his wife Rita live in Sugar
Land with their three daughters, Alisa,
Blair and Mir.

Businesses of every size and industry, as well as trade and professional associations are Texas City-La Marque Chamber members.

the Texas City-La Marque Chamber?
Many organizations are members of several local Chambers. If you do
business in Texas City and La Marque, you should be a member of the Texas
City-La Marque Chamber.
Who can become a member of the Texas City-La Marque Chamber?
The Chamber welcomes any small, medium or large local, regional, national or international business.

Is my Chamber membership tax deductible?
Yes and no. Contributions are not deductible as a charitable contribution
for federal income tax purposes, however, your Chamber investment is 95%
deductible as a business expense.
How much does it cost to become a chamber member?
The Chamber uses an investment schedule that is determined by the type
and size of your business. Minimum dues for a small business range from
$300 annually.
