About us
Trunki news
Trunki started trading in May 2006. Since then we’ve gone on
to sell over 2 million of our much-loved ride-on suitcases across
97 countries worldwide.
Jessica’s Charity Walk
We’re thrilled to find out that Jessica completed a 1-mile walk to raise money for the 100,000
Smiles Appeal at her school. Jessica has Cerebral Palsy and chronic lung disease, meaning
she is dependent on an oxygen supply 24/7. Last year the charity Cerebra modified a Trunki
so that it could carry Jessica’s oxygen cylinder. This means that she is now able to walk
around independently with her Trunki, and no longer needs an adult by her side carrying
her oxygen cylinder. Money raised at the school’s fete, the walkathon and from generous
donations have now topped £5,000, which will go towards a play area for the school.
We have a range of colourful, exciting travel products that are

grandma’s or a long haul flight.

Bristol was graced with 80 Gromits last
summer as part of The Grand Appeal to
raise money for Bristol’s Children’s Hospital.
As soon as we heard about the project we
put our names down to be a sponsor, and
when we had to choose ours, we wasted
no time in selecting Carys Ink’s design,
‘Grrrrromit’. He’s part tiger, part Mexican
wrestler, and 100% awesome!
We’ve launched our first ever app, it’s
completely free for you to download, with
no sneaky in-app purchases! It’s aimed at
children aged 3 – 6 years and is designed
to help with their numeracy and hand-eye
coordination, but most importantly, it’s lots
of fun! Perfect for keeping your little guppies
occupied whilst on the move!

Our press coverage isn’t to be sniffed at either! We’ve amassed
over 1000 pieces of print coverage in just the UK. Our products look
great in print and we love showing off our latest colourful creation!
Trunki Awards Gallery 2013
We won our case against PMS who
produced a copy of our protected Trunki
design. The High Court ruled that the
‘Kiddee Case’ breached our design rights.
Despite not having patent protection, Trunki
was considered to represent a substantial
departure from ‘what had been known
before’, giving it broader protection. The
legal case was won on three counts.
Progressive Pre-School Award
We love getting our glad rags on and
heading to a swish awards do, but coming
home with a shiny new trophy really is the
cherry on top, so we were over the moon
when our Tropical PaddlePaks were named
the Best Pre-School Accessories Range!
The awards are judged by industry experts
and we were up against some very tough
competition, so we’re feeling very happy,
and very humble.
