All regular classes are offered as well as the listed optional classes. Regular classes available to enter are:
American-Bred, Open, Puppy 6-9 months, Puppy 9-12 months, 12-18 Months, Novice, Bred-By-Exhibitor, and Field Performance
Champion and Best of Breed (ISWS Champions of record only can enter this class directly)
The following Non-Regular classes are eligible to be entered:
Altered Novice, Altered Open, Best Altered (ISWS/Altered ISWS Champions only), Veterans, Puppy 3-6 Months, Stud Dog, and Brood
Bitch.
Optional awards being offered include Best Veteran, Best of Opposite Sex Veteran, Best Bred-By-Exhibitor, Best Puppy, and AOMs.
Field Performance Champion Class — Eligibility for this class requires proof of a championship title for straight racing (ISWS or
LGRA), oval racing (ISWS or NOTRA), lure coursing (ISWS or ASFA) or open field coursing (NOFCA or other recognized open field
coursing association) be submitted along with a show entry.
This class is a Regular Class as the historic job of a sighthound is hunting and that ability should be recognized as an important part
of our breed. As such, a dog from the Performance class is eligible to win points toward an ISWS Championship. (No ISWS CH. may
enter this class as this is a regular class., Nor can a dog enter more than one regular class.)
Altered — Open to all neutered and spayed dogs. Dogs and bitches will be judged separately and winners will not be eligible for Best
of Breed judging. Championship points will be awarded toward an Altered Championship. First place in each sex will compete for Best
Altered.
Non–Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries
As the judge’s decision in the following classes is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches
judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won in these classes. The Stud Dog or
Brood Bitch must appear in the ring with the get or produce and be entered in the class. The owner of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch
does not need to be the owner of the get or produce. The award is based on the merits of the get or produce.
Stud Dog Class- For dogs that have sired two or more dogs or bitches entered in this show. Maximum 4 progeny.
Brood Bitch Class- For bitches that have whelped two or more dogs or bitches entered in this show. Maximum 4 progeny.
Winners in American-Bred, Open, Puppy 6-9 months, Puppy 9-12 months, 12-18 Months, Novice, Bred-By-Exhibitor, and Field
Performance Champion classes proceed to compete for Winners Dog and Winners Bitch. WD, WB, plus Best Veteran Dog and Bitch
proceed to Best of Breed to compete along with ISWS Champions. First place of each sex in Altered shall compete for Best Altered.
