October 17, 2014 HOMECOMING 2014: In efforts to promote the BMS ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY At the October 1st assembly, BMS hosted a variety of BHS students to prepare for the upcoming Homecoming activities. The BMS marching band played for the students entering the gym. The assembly began with BMS chorus students and teachers by celebrating the 200th birthday of the creation of the Star Spangled Banner by singing it to the rest of the students and staff. Then members of the BHS pep band and drumline performed a variety of music pieces for the middle school students. Members of the BHS swim team, diving team, thespian group, football team, volleyball team, cheerleading squad, and pep band shared with students how to get involved in school activities and to help promote BHS Homecoming 2014. Then all of the BMS 7th and 8th grade football, volleyball, and crosscountry team members were introduced to the middle school student body. BMS students enjoyed having the BHS students as their special guests at their recent all school assembly! To help prepare for the Homecoming celebration festivities, middle school students could place their earned PBIS pride points into grade level football helmets. 60 BMS students were excited to get their name drawn to attend the high school assembly and coronation.
