Celebrating the
pioneering spirit of an era
New prospects, new opportunities, new adventures – the
world beyond the horizon has always held great promises
for those who dare to venture out. Never more so than at
the turn of the 20th century, where the world was growing
One of seafaring’s greatest challenges was the fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
At the turn of the century, overseas passenger liners from the United Kingdom, the
United States and Germany competed for the accolade for the highest average speed,
the Blue Riband.
together closer than ever, fuelled by great advancements
in science and technology. Innovations in shipbuilding
such as ever more powerful steam engines heralded the
“golden age” of ocean liners. Wireless radio traffic sent
messages over thousands of kilometres.
The tremendous increase in global trade and transcontinental travel gave rise to a prosperous new era for
Europe’s port towns. Among them, the city of Hamburg
became known as Germany’s “gateway to the world”.
Its bustling harbour was crowded with big ocean liners
from overseas, bringing with them profitable cargo,
exotic goods as well as news and tales from faraway lands.
An aura of excitement and opportunity lay in the air.
It was in this humming atmosphere where the engineer
August Eberstein met the merchant Alfred Nehemias and
the entrepreneur Claus Voß. United by their pioneering
spirit, they went on to revolutionise the world of fine
writing with their Simplo Filler fountain pens. The young
firm would two years later be renamed after the highest
peak in Europe: the Mont Blanc, symbolising the company’s
ambition for ultimate performance, highest quality and
finest craftsmanship.
To celebrate 110 years of their pioneering spirit, 2016
sees the relaunch of the Montblanc 4810 Collection – a
name which perfectly captures the maison’s ambition to
always aim for the highest level, as it cites the height of
the Mont Blanc peak at 4,810 metres.
Driven by powerful steam engines, giant ocean liners provided regular
transcontinental voyages. International passenger lines tried to surpass
each other in ship size, comfort and speed.
Indebted to Montblanc’s pioneering heritage, this
collection of extraordinary timepieces introduces new
manufacture calibres that drive complications of supreme
Swiss watchmaking proficiency. The collection’s timeless
and elegant character expresses itself in the red gold-plated
numerals and indexes as well as the refined regate hour
and minute hands. The commitment to Montblanc’s pioneering legacy is also subtly symbolised by the exploding
star pattern guilloché on the silvery-white dials.
Sharing the passion
for fine watchmaking
The horologic legacy of
the Montblanc Manufactures
Centuries of collected knowledge, decades of experience, years
of development and hundreds of hours of dedicated labour –
they all culminate when a Montblanc timepiece comes to life.
To create masterpieces of utmost precision and immaculate
perfection, the watchmakers at the Montblanc Manufactures
in Villeret and Le Locle put their pride, passion and soul into
each timepiece. Their skills and knowledge have been handed
down through generations.
This heritage of more than 150 years of Swiss watchmaking stretches back to 1858, when Charles-Yvan Robert
founded a watch manufacture in the village of Villeret in the
Saint-Imier valley. His manufacture, Minerva, gained worldwide recognition as one of Switzerland’s most revered specialists in chronometric functions for precise time measuring.
The company invented one of the first chronograph calibres
The Montblanc Manufacture in Villeret.
for wristwatches in the 1920s and a mechanical stop-watch that
could measure time accurately to one hundredth of a second
in 1936.
The watchmakers of the Montblanc Manufacture in Villeret,
the former Minerva Manufacture, uphold Minerva’s legacy as a
specialist in chronometric functions. As Montblanc’s Movement
& Innovation Excellence Centre, this manufacture continues to
enrich fine Swiss watchmaking with ground-breaking innovations,
such as providing Montblanc’s patented ExoTourbillon with a
precise stop-seconds mechanism.
In the manufacture’s ateliers, the traditional art of horology
is kept alive and nurtured further. Carefully decorating all of the
movement’s components by hand, the watchmakers chamfer every
edge, polish even the tiniest wheel and adorn plates with the
traditional “Côtes de Genève” stripes. The craftsmen’s dexterity,
patience and experience are also indispensible in crafting the
delicate balance springs, an accomplishment of which only few
watch manufactures are capable.
The watchmaking expertise gained from working on high
complications is applied to the creation of highly functional small
complications. As such, the manufacture’s knowledge of haute
horlogerie is ingrained in the timepieces of the Montblanc collections. Thus, the passion for fine watchmaking is shared from
grand complication timepieces to refined three-hand watches.

Tested for utmost precision
and absolute perfection
The Montblanc Manufacture in Le Locle – the maison’s Watch &
Quality Excellence Centre – is housed in an art nouveau villa built in
1906, the same year Montblanc was established in Hamburg. Like
the architecture, which combines historic and contemporary elements,
the manufacture unites traditional Swiss fine watchmaking with
state-of-the-art production technologies.
With the exception of the high complications of the Montblanc
Villeret Collection, the final assembly of all Montblanc timepieces
takes place at Le Locle. Achieving such carefully orchestrated interplay
of countless delicate parts takes the experience of decades and the
patience of a saint. Following assembly, all Montblanc timepieces
undergo the rigorous testing procedures of the Montblanc Laboratory
Test 500, which also takes place in Le Locle.
For almost three weeks, or more precisely for 500 hours, the timepieces are subjected to a variety of conditions that a watch must endure
when worn on the wrist: daily life’s wear and tear, numerous settings
and re-settings of the crown, different climatic conditions, as well
as careful and less careful use of all its functions. Only after passing
the test – assured by the Montblanc Laboratory Test 500 certificate –
are the timepieces released for delivery. Worthy of Montblanc’s strict
and highest quality standards, they are destined to become fine lifetime companions.
Only after the quality-assurance team at Montblanc Manufacture
in Le Locle is convinced that a watch upholds Montblanc’s strict quality
standards do they release it for subsequent delivery. Each watch that
passes the Montblanc Laboratory Test 500 is issued a test certificate.

Montblanc 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim
110 Years Edition North America, Limited Edition 36
The North American continent, the destination which held countless
promises to travellers, traders and emigrants crossing the Atlantic,
reigns supreme on the dial of this marvellously crafted timepiece.
Delicately painted by hand, the topographical map with dark blue
oceans, lush green forests and grasslands, and sand-coloured deserts
and mountain ridges makes each of these timepieces a unique work of
astounding artistry.
Montblanc’s new Manufacture Calibre
unites Montblanc’s
patented ExoTourbillon with a quick stop-seconds mechanism. Thanks
to the special construction of the ExoTourbillon, this mechanism halts
the screwed balance wheel to set the time precisely to the second. The
quick stop-seconds mechanism is activated via the crown with a threestep function, which also includes winding the movement and setting
the time.
With solely a prominent Roman 12, an encircling minuterie and
red rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, the dial shows off the
craftsmanship of the peinture miniature and the technical elegance of
the ExoTourbillon in all their splendour. With a 42 mm case made of
white gold, the North American edition is limited to 36 pieces like the
edition depicting the European continent in equally stunning artistry.
The Asian Edition is limited to 38 pieces.
Stretching from the Caribbean and the Atlantic coast over the Great Plains and
the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, the North American continent adorns
the timepiece’s dial as a detailed, hand-crafted peinture miniature.

Montblanc 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim
Inspired by the golden age of overseas trade and travel, this sophisticated timepiece in the Montblanc 4810 Collection introduces the new
Manufacture Calibre
while manifesting a classically elegant
design. Endowing Montblanc’s patented ExoTourbillon with a highly
functional quick stop-seconds mechanism, the new automatic calibre
allows for setting of the time precise to the second. Smaller than standard
rotors, the movement’s ultra-velocity micro rotor balances performance
and precision while enabling a lighter and slimmer construction.
Thanks to the special construction of the ExoTourbillon – with the
balance wheel outside the tourbillon cage for a better isochronism of
the balance’s oscillation – the quick stop-seconds mechanism halts
the screwed balance wheel without losing its kinetic energy. Like the
setting and winding functions, which are indicated at 3 o’clock, the
stop-seconds mechanism is operated via the crown. With ultimate
functionality and longevity ensured by the Montblanc Laboratory
Test 500, the ExoTourbillon Stop-Second complication bestows this
fine lifetime companion with everlasting precision.
Bearing red gold-plated Roman numerals and indexes as well as
red gold-plated regate hour and minute hands, the silvery-white dial
exhibits an exploding Montblanc star pattern on the upper part, while
the ExoTourbillon is surrounded by a refined “Côtes de Genève”
pattern. The 42 mm red-gold case features straight horns, which are
rounded to better suit the wrist of the wearer.
The hand-bevelled tourbillon bridge holds the ExoTourbillon complication.
Derived from the Greek word “exo” for “outside”, its balance wheel runs outside
of the tourbillon cage to isolate it from the cage’s disturbing inertia.

Montblanc 4810 TwinFly Chronograph
110 Years Edition, Limited Edition 1.110
Worldwide timekeeping and highly functional chronometry – the
travellers crossing the Altlantic Ocean of the early 20th century
would have found this timepiece’s two complications immensely
useful: a 24-hour display with day & night indication for a second
time zone and an in-house developed TwinFly chronograph.
A small world map subdial at 12 o’clock shows the hometime,
linked with the blued central hour hand. Also in central position are
the red gold-plated hour and minute regate hands for the local time
as well as the chronograph minute and second baton hands. A subdial
at 6 o’clock shows the small seconds and carries a large date window.
The TwinFly chronograph of the new Manufacture Calibre
is driven by a column wheel. Its start and stop functions are controlled
by a vertical disc clutch via a pusher at 2 o’clock; a pusher at 4 o’clock
resets it. The lower pusher also activates the eponymous fly-back
function, which stops, resets and instantly restarts the elapsed minutes
and seconds at a single touch.
For better readability, the chronograph indication has two separate
scales. The exterior seconds scale bears small Super-LumiNova®* dots
every five seconds, while the interior minutes scale has 10-minute
markings in red. Red gold-plated Roman numerals and indexes on
the silvery-white dial with an exploding star pattern are the hallmark
of the Montblanc 4810 collection. In a 43 mm stainless steel case with
straight horns, this timepiece is a sophisticated travel companion.
Adorned with a map of the world centred on the Atlantic ocean, the hometime
indication at 12 o’clock is an elegant tribute to the pioneering spirit of turn-of-thecentury overseas seafaring.

Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum
Named after the Latin term for “earth”, the Montblanc 4810 Orbis
Terrarum presents the worldtime complication on a skilfully crafted,
multilayer sapphire crystal dial. It shows the continents as viewed
from the North Pole, encircled by 24 cities representing the different
time zones. Under the cut-out continents, a disc showing day/night
as well as the 24 times zones rotates with the movement mechanism.
As the continents change from showing the different climate zones
during daytime to a dark blue colour after sunset, the course of day
and night around the world can be observed at a single glance.
Upon first use, the hometime is defined by moving the reference
city to the red triangle at 6 o’clock via the pusher at 8 o’clock. With
each push, everything from the cities and the cut-out continents, the
underlying day & night disc as well as the hour hand turns together.
The minutes of the hometime are set via the crown. When travelling,
the new local time zone is simply placed at 6 o’clock via the pusher at
8 o’clock, which works in 1-hour jumps without affecting the minutes.
The dial’s intricate craftsmanship is contrasted with the pure
sophistication of the Montblanc 4810 collection. With rhodium-plated
hour and minute hands, a black alligator-skin wristband and a 43 mm
stainless steel case with straight horns, the remarkable worldtime complication is complemented by pristine elegance.
The pusher at 8 o’clock moves the reference city for the local time zone to the red
triangle at 6 o’clock, while turning the sapphire crystal dial with the continents and
cities, the day & night disc with the hours of the 24 time zones as well as the hour
hand, all at the same time.

Montblanc 4810 Chronograph Automatic
Masculine elegance and superior functionality characterise the
Montblanc 4810 collection timepieces for the modern traveller.
Combining performance and artisanal prowess, this wristwatch
encloses its precise, self-winding Calibre
with a bi-pusher
chronograph in a large, bold case featuring a dial of functional
composition and harmonious proportions.
For better readability, the time indication is distinguished from
the chronograph function by the differently coloured hands. While
a blue colour is used for the central chronograph seconds and the
chronograph minutes and hours at 12 and 6 o’clock, the small seconds
at 9 o’clock as well as the central hour and minute regate hands are
red gold-plated to indicate the time. The latter hands also both have
a Super-LumiNova®* coating for full visibility in the dark. A white
triangle with a red gold-coloured frame at 6 o’clock indicates the
date. To facilitate accurate chronometry, the precise minuterie along
the dial’s edge features red markings at 30 and 60 seconds.
Adorned with an exploding Montblanc star pattern guilloché,
the silvery-white dial bears applied, red gold-plated Roman numerals
and indexes. Featuring straight horns and a thin bezel with a satinated
border, the 43 mm stainless steel case not only complements a black
alligator-skin wristband, but also matches perfectly the stainless steel
bracelet with fully polished outer links and satinated centre links.
A skilfully crafted guilloché engraving in Montblanc’s star-shaped pattern emanates
from the hours subdial at 6 o’clock and stretches across the entire dial.

Montblanc 4810 Date Automatic
As an elegant tribute to the height of fast and luxurious ocean travel in
the early 20th century, this timepiece of the Montblanc 4810 collection
expresses a pure and sophisticated character.
Exhibiting the classic simplicity of a three-hand watch, the
central time indication is only supplemented by an arched window at
6 o’clock, where a white triangle with a red gold-coloured frame
displays the current date. From above the date window, the Montblanc
emblem radiates in a star-shaped pattern across the entire dial in a
skilfully worked guilloché engraving. Either in classic Montblanc
silvery white or as an edition with a black dial featuring rhodiumplated hands and indexes, the timepiece exudes a clear-cut and strong
presence on the wrist.
Optimal readability in the dark is ensured by the Super-LumiNova®*
coating on the red gold-plated regate hour and minute hands as well as
the impair hour indexes along the precise minuterie. Whereas the black
alligator-skin wristband provides an elegant contrast, the new threelink stainless steel wristband with polished outer links and satinated
middle part elegantly matches the likewise polished and satinated
42 mm stainless steel case.
An extra large, distinctively arched window displays the current date, indicated
with a red triangle on the black dial or a golden one on the silvery-white dial.

Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum Pocket Watch
110 Years Edition, Limited Edition 110
Paying tribute to early 20th century seafaring, an era where steamliners
crossing the Atlantic Ocean were at their height, Montblanc introduces
the maison’s first-ever pocket watch in the Montblanc 4810 collection.
Named after orbis terrarum, the Latin word for “world” or “earth”,
the highly functional worldtime complication shows the passage of
time on a world map as seen from the North Pole. Under the sapphire
crystal dial’s multilayer construction with cut-out continents, a day &
night disc – graded from yellow and green to dark blue – turns to show
how the day turns into night in the different time zones. While the local
time is indicated by the red gold-plated central hour and minute hands,
a 24-hour ring shows the local times in 24 cities around the world.
On first use, the home time zone’s corresponding city should be
placed in front of the small red triangle at 6 o’clock by using the worldtime corrector at 5 o’clock. Everything, from the day & night disc, the
sapphire crystal dial with continents and cities to the central hour hand,
will turn together. Then the time is set via the crown. When travelling,
the local time is adjusted by moving the local city to the triangle, once
again via the worldtime corrector.
A stainless steel chain, whose distinctive shape recalls the ropes
used in seafaring, holds the 53 mm stainless steel case. Engraved with
the overseas liner and Blue Riband winner “Deutschland” on the back,
this horological work of art is limited to 110 pieces.
The multilayer sapphire dial expresses intuitive functionality with consummate
craftsmanship. Under the skeletonised hour and minute hands its centre shows
a world map, which illustrates the course of day and night around the world
through the cut-out continents.

Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie
Chronograph Annual Calendar
Upholding the precise chronometric heritage of its Minerva roots, the
Montblanc Manufacture presents a timepiece inspired by one of
Minerva’s first chronograph wristwatches of the 1920s. For the first
time in the Montblanc collection, its Montblanc Calibre
combines in one word an annual calendar complication with a chronograph function.
A dial of timelessly harmonious proportions with four subdials
shows the full calendar data combined with chronograph indications.
The two functions are differentiated by red gold-plated hands for
the time and calendar data and blued hands for the chronograph. The
counter at 12 o’clock provides the date and the small seconds. At
9 o’clock two hands display the month and the chronograph minutes
on respective scales, followed by the day of the week and the chronograph hours at 6 o’clock. Solely reserved for the lunar phases is the
sophisticated moon-phase display at 3 o’clock. The moon’s age is
displayed by hand on the four principal phases: from new moon, first
quarter, full moon to last quarter. The calendar functions are adjusted
with four individual correctors on both sides of the case.
A blued chronograph second hand as well as red gold-plated minute
and hour hands take the centre position on a silvery-white dial with
sunray finishing, applied indexes and a prominent Arabic 12. A black
alligator-skin strap crafted at the Montblanc Pelletteria holds the refined,
polished case with rounded, curved horns.
With a baton hand that travels from the dark blue new moon to the first quarter
moon, the full moon and finally to the waning moon of the last quarter, the moonphase display presents the four principal lunar phases with elegant simplicity.

Twincounter Date
Taking inspiration from Minerva’s classic double-counter timepieces
from the 1950s, the watchmakers of the Montblanc Manufacture
are introducing the new automatic Montblanc Calibre
with
an in-house developed twin-counter manufacture complication.
The result is a refined and highly functional timepiece of harmonious
proportions and timeless sophistication.
The two horizontally aligned counters bestow the sunray-finished,
silvery-white dial with classical elegance. At 3 o’clock, the date is
indicated by a hand, enhanced with an arrowhead for clear readability. The small seconds counter at 9 o’clock features a red accent
on the 60 seconds marking for precise timekeeping.
The applied red gold-plated sword hands and indexes as well as
the Arabic 6 and 12 deliver an effective yet sophisticated contrast to
the silvery-white of the dial and the slim 40 mm case made of stainless
steel. With a height of only 9.85 mm and rounded, curved horns as
well as a satinated bezel border, the case underlines the Swiss fine watchmaking traditions embodied by the Montblanc Heritage collection. The
elegant appearance is completed by the black alligator-skin strap, crafted
at the Montblanc Pelletteria, or a five-link stainless steel wristband.
A blued baton hand with an arrowhead at the end indicates the current date
on the snailed counter at 3 o’clock.

Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie ExoTourbillon
Minute Chronograph Limited Edition 28
In elegant contrast of black and stunning red gold, this timepiece draws
from Minerva’s legacy of chronometric innovation. Striving for utmost
precision, the Manufacture Calibre
combines Montblanc’s
patented ExoTourbillon with a quick stop-seconds mechanism and
a monopusher chronograph with column wheel and vertical coupling.
The Greek prefix “exo” refers to the innovative tourbillon, whose balance
wheel is outside the cage. Isolated from the disturbing inertia of the cage,
the balance oscillates with greater isochronism.
The ExoTourbillon grand complication is overlooked by a dark,
gleaming night sky made of aventurine, a translucent quartz with a
shimmering effect. A diamond in the shape of the Montblanc emblem
sparkles at 12 o’clock, only outshined by the bezel set with 76 brilliant-cut diamonds. In a classically elegant juxtaposition to the dark
aventurine, the central hour and minute sword hands, the chronograph counter hands below as well as the tourbillon bridge shine
in polished gold-plated, while the ExoTourbillon is surrounded by
a satin-finish decoration.
This edition in a refined, slim case made of 18 K red gold is
strictly limited to 28 pieces. Expressing the traditional characteristics
of fine Swiss watchmaking with modern and sophisticated elegance,
the case features a straight bezel, curved horns and a sapphire crystal
case back.
As the Greek prefix “exo” for “outside” implies, the balance wheel of the
ExoTourbillon complication has been separated from the tourbillon cage
and is thus no longer adversely affected by its inertia.

Montblanc Heritage Spirit
Perpetual Calendar Sapphire Dial
A close bonding of traditional aesthetics and technical prowess,
this remarkable timepiece showcases the mechanical splendour of
its perpetual calendar grand complication through a dial of smoky
sapphire crystal. For a clearer view of the numerous finely decorated
wheels, levers and jumpers, the smoky sapphire crystal features a
light grey finishing in the centre. The outer edge is of a darker shade to
ensure perfect readability of the gold-plated indexes and minuterie.
Among the silvery-white subdials that provide the perpetual
calendar indications, the spectacular moon-phase display stands out
with an inventive illustration of the lunar phases. As the twofold
golden moon travels across a starry sky, it’s waxing or waning crescents are created through partial shading from the darker sapphire
crystal on the lower section of the subdial.
The masterful craftsmanship, perfect functionality and sophisticated design that characterise the Montblanc Heritage Spirit Collection
are expressed in the traditional codes of Swiss fine watchmaking, such
as facetted applied indexes and dauphine hands. Also presented in a
39 mm case made of 18 K red gold like the sapphire dial edition, the
collection now introduces a silvery-white dial edition of the Montblanc
Heritage Spirit Perpetual Calendar with a diamond-set bezel.
The moon-phase subdial at 6 o’clock illustrates the moon’s current phase via
a golden moon travelling under a partially shaded lower section.

Montblanc Star Roman Quantième Complet
“Carpe Diem” Special Edition
“Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero”, Latin for “seize the
day, putting as little trust as possible in the next” was the closing line
of “Ode to Leuconae” by the ancient Roman poet Horace. What came
before is past, what lies ahead is an uncertain future. The poet`s call to
value each moment has held its significance through the centuries.
It also inspired Montblanc to create the Carpe Diem Edition timepieces
of the Montblanc Star Collection, which honour the precious transience of time with skilful craftsmanship.
To fully grasp each moment in time, this timepiece provides full
calendar data. Named after the French watchmaking terms “quantième” for calendar and “complet” to indicate the full function, its dial
includes central hours, minutes and seconds, a central date by hand,
windows for the day of the week and month at 12 o’clock as well as
an elegant moon-phase display at 6 o’clock.
The silvery-white dial shows the precious moment of here and
now with classical elegance. The red gold-plated feuille and blued
baton hands, the intricate guilloché engraving in the centre and the
exploding star pattern on the moon-phase exude the timeless sophistication of fine Swiss watchmaking. The Roman numerals further
underline the classical appeal and subtly allude to the ancient origin
of the famous aphorism that gives the timepiece its name.
With its classical silhouette culminating in a Montblanc emblem, the onion-shaped
crown underlines the traditional elegance of the timepiece.

Montblanc Star Classique Date Automatique
Classical elegance and essential functionality characterise the refined
timepieces of the Montblanc Star Collection. When the traditions
of fine Swiss watchmaking and the unmistakeable sophistication of
Montblanc come together, the result is a dress watch of timeless appeal.
While the silvery-white dial seems purist at first glance, a closer
look reveals an intriguing flinqué guilloché pattern – a skilfully
crafted semi-circular decoration that radiates from the centre of the
dial. Reduced to the essentials, the indications are complete with
the rectangular date window at 3 o’clock.
Precious red gold-plated, feuille and baton hands, red goldplated Arabic numerals and extra-thin indexes communicate the
understated elegance of the dial. With a height of only 8.90 mm,
the round, 39 mm case made of stainless steel is exceptionally slim
and is crowned by a bezel of 18 K red gold. Its narrow, vertically
protruding horns are slightly curved to elegantly suit the wrist. With
the sophistication of Montblanc evident throughout the timepiece,
the maison’s emblem adorns the onion-shaped crown.
As a detail at the end of the central second hand or as the shape of the dial’s
radiating guilloché pattern, the Montblanc star emblem is evident throughout
in the sophisticated elegance of the timepiece.

Montblanc 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter Blue
Limited Edition 100
Paying homage to the roots of its Manufacture in Villeret, Montblanc
presents a timepiece inspired by Villeret’s legendary Minerva chronographs.
In an elegant tribute to its historic predecessors from the 1930s,
the Montblanc 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter Blue stands out with
a blue dial. The historical shape of the hands is also inspired by the
original timepiece, as are the small seconds at 9 o’clock and the chronograph counter at 3 o’clock. The historic Montblanc emblem at 12 o’clock
and the notched crown underline the vintage appearance of the timepiece. The dial’s tachymeter scale eases the computing of a speed based
on travel time along the delicate “chemin de fer” minuterie. Coated with
Super-LumiNova®*, the luminescent hands and numerals are perfectly
readable in the dark.
Developed and handcrafted in-house, the Montblanc Calibre
features a monopusher chronograph with column wheel
and horizontal disc clutch. While composed of the same structure and
components as the historical Minerva Calibre 17.29, the movement
outshines its precursor with hand-crafted finishings, like “Côtes de
Genève” patterning and sublime bevelling. In a 44 mm case made
of stainless steel with thin, slightly curved horns, the Montblanc 1858
Chronograph Tachymeter Blue is strictly limited to 100 pieces.
Likewise inspired by Minerva’s iconic wristwatches are the Manual
Small Second timepieces of the Montblanc 1858 collection.
The tachymeter scale on the outer periphery of the dial facilitates the computing
of speed. Multiplying the value shown on the tachymeter scale via the second hand
by the measured distance results in the correct speed. If 1 kilometre is travelled in
30 seconds, multiplying the corresponding tachymeter value of 120 by the distance
of 1 km equals a speed of 120 km/h.

Montblanc TimeWalker ExoTourbillon Minute
Chronograph Limited Edition 100
From the first glance the Montblanc TimeWalker collection exudes
ultimate performance and overt technicity. High-tech materials, bold
shapes and the stark contrast of black, red and white give the future
of timekeeping an instantly recognisable face.
Introducing Montblanc’s patented ExoTourbillon to the Montblanc
TimeWalker Collection, the high-performance Manufacture Calibre
emphasises its claim with innovative functionality. It combines
two of the most important chronometric complications: a monopusher
chronograph and an innovative tourbillon, whose balance wheel runs
outside of the tourbillon cage for greater isochronism. To set the time
precisely to the second, the movement’s quick stop-seconds mechanism
directly halts the balance wheel.
The 44 mm case with skeletonised horns safely protects the precious
mechanical inner life. Made of Titanium sheathed with carbon fibre
on the middle piece, it is topped off by a DLC-coated black bezel. The
result is both lightweight and highly resistant. While the lower dial
features a satinated finish, the upper part is embossed with a fine pattern
of horizontal striations. The hour and minute hands, the Arabic
numerals and the precise minuterie are highlighted in white and have
received a luminescent Super-LumiNova®* coating for better readability
at night. Accents in red – from the gasket and the chronograph counters to
the stitching on the black alligator-skin strap – underline the timepiece’s
strong character.
Sheathed with dozens of layers of carbon fibre, the middle piece of the case is
encased by two longitudinal titanium brackets. These smoothly merge into the
TimeWalker collection’s characteristic skeletonised horns.

indication on the periphery of the dial via a skeletonised hand with
an eye-catching red tip.
Accents in red also characterise the sporty appearance of the dial
such as the dots at the 5-minute markings, the distinctive second hand
and the gasket. The multilevel dial blends contemporary design and
traditional craftsmanship with its finely worked circular striations in
the centre. The characteristic skeletonised horns and thin bezel of the
Montblanc TimeWalker collection give the 42 mm stainless steel case
its strong presence, while its highly resistant surface stems from the
DLC treatment.
The Montblanc e-Strap displays incoming calls and messages from the smartphone on a 0.9-inch OLED touchscreen display with 128 x 36 pixel resolution.

Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique
Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition – 8 pieces
At the turn of the century, a precisely calculated route was the key
to great maritime triumphs, such as winning the Blue Riband for
the fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. As their accuracy was of
vital importance, the finest marine chronometers used a cylindrical
hairspring – which also drives the one-minute tourbillon of this
spectacular Montblanc pocket watch. A cylindrical hairspring’s turns
are wound on top of one another, ensuring the absolute regularity
of the watch’s rate.
Made of 281 hand-crafted components, the Montblanc Calibre
impresses with its triple time zone indication. With
hometime displayed on a delicate “rose de vents” at 12 o’clock and
central local time, it is the worldtime indication that dominates the
dial. To show the course of day and night around the world, two discs
with 24 time zones simultaneously revolve around two fixed, threedimensional globes. As a reference, 24 cities from each hemisphere
encircle the dial.
Ground-breaking innovation and fine watchmaking heritage
are united on the dial and the 18 K white gold case decorated with
black “Grand Feu” enamel. The spheres are carefully engraved and
painted with dedicated hand-craft. The slightly curved tourbillon
bridge is bevelled by hand. A hand-engraved maritime wave pattern
adorns the upper part of the dial and the entire back of the movement. The epitome of ultimate precision and traditional artisanship,
this masterpiece is limited to 8 pieces.
Representing the endlessly fascinating rhythm of the Atlantic Ocean’s waves, the
case back’s main plates and bridges as well as the ratchet are fully hand-engraved
with a maritime wave pattern in a display of exceptional dexterity.

Montblanc Bohème Moongarden
Since the dawn of time, the moon has given rhythm and structure
to people’s lives. It determined the right moment to plant and to
harvest, to hunt and to fish. Long before the beginning of modern
timekeeping, the course of the year was measured by the different
lunar phases. Each phase had a name matching the progression of
the seasons – like Seed Moon in April and Harvest Moon in October.
The Montblanc Bohème Moongarden takes these poetic names
as its inspiration for a romantic representation of the moon’s phases.
Translating highest watchmaking creativity into a unique and highly
functional complication of feminine character, the newly developed
moongarden complication is manufactured in-house in the Montblanc
Manufacture. Displayed at 12 o’clock above a small, golden moon,
the names are linked with the moon-phase display at 6 o’clock and the
central date by hand. When the date reaches the 31st, the name of the
moon-phase changes. To facilitate correct setting, the different names
are engraved along the back of the watch’s case.
Expressing the codes of fine Swiss watchmaking with distinctly
feminine elegance, this fine lifetime companion comes with a 36 mm case
made of 18 K red gold or stainless steel featuring an alligator-skin strap.

Montblanc Bohème Day & Night
Nothing evidences the passage of time more impressively than the
change of night into day. As nature’s most fundamental time indicator,
the interplay of light and dark never ceases to amaze and inspires artists
and craftspeople around the world again and again. Montblanc’s master
watchmakers join their ranks with the Montblanc Bohème Day & Night
and its romantic yet highly functional day & night complication.
A crescent-shaped opening displays the changing light over
24 hours. As the day turns into night, the light blue sky with a golden
sun gives way to a warm, dark blue sky with a golden moon and stars.
The day & night display is linked to the elliptically shaped date at
6 o’clock, and both can be precisely and easily set via the crown.
To avoid a jump of the date at noon instead of midnight,
the highly functional day & night complication helps to set
Befitting the distinctively romantic character of the day & night
complication, the watch’s bezel is set with 72 sparkling diamonds.
The sophisticated faceted guilloché dial with blued, feuille hour and
minute hands and central seconds equally embraces feminine beauty and
traditional fine Swiss watchmaking. Made of stainless steel, the timepiece
not only introduces a new complication to the Montblanc Bohème
Collection, but also a new, smaller case size with a diameter of 34 mm.
