Scott Merriman’s favorite moment of intern
year: When everyone who had to work on
Christmas went to Pearls afterward and
shared in yuletide jubilee. (Also, any chance
to be humbled by Joe, who is “truly an
amazing friend, physician, and role model”)
Don Quimby’s favorite
quote of intern year:
Joe Cooley: ”…what
room?”

3 generations of chief
residents
The new chiefs, looking sharp and
fresh. Can’t wait to see them in action!
Pankti’s Most Memorable
Moment During Residency: “It
was my first rapid response,
senior resident off. So
nervous….Thankfully, with my
handsome now-husband at my
side, and the most supportive
crew of compadres (woot res
class of 2016!), I had managed
not to poop my pants and lead
a successful rapid response.”

SHOUT OUTS!!!
-to Caitlin Richter for delivering perhaps the greatest graduation roast in
residency history.
-To Joel Gabre for his awesome presentation of one of Dr. Finkelman’s
papers to Dr. Finkelman at the Research Symposium!
- To Matt Smith from several VA RNs as well as from the VA Director (!)
for “his compassion, dignity, and respect” he showed a Veteran at the end of the Veteran’s
life when Matt “sat by the patient’s bedside his entire 12 hour shift” so that the patient did
not die alone. Incredible act of kindness!
- To our outgoing chiefs Rachel Bensman, Steven Evans, Li’ Rowley, Elise Henning,
Courtney Ohlinger, and Adam Rose for their fearless leadership over the past year. You
guys will be missed!
- to all finishing R3/4s who celebrated their graduation this weekend. We love you guys!
