GoBlond - SCS Formulate 2016
Hair Bleaching
Influenced by fashion and trends, women throughout history have sought to change the look and style of their
hair. The stress and damage brought on by both physical and chemical methods like brushing, straightening, dyes
and bleaches, are proven hazards. Of these methods, bleaching has always brought the highest risk of damage and
structural change to the hair fiber – resulting in dull, dry, and brittle hair.
Mechanism of Bleaching
Melanin
Cortex
Open the cuticles
Cuticles
Macrofibrils
Disulfide bonds, hydrogens
and saline bonds
Protofibrils
Microfibrils
Keratin chains
Melanin oxidation
Cortex permeation
Non-selective Reaction
The destruction of the keratin sulfur bond and the likely weakening of the hair fiber caused by the
non-selective oxidant action of the bleach is a two step process:
Melanin granules are separated and dispersed
The polymeric structure of melanin, responsible for color, is broken
GoBlond
GoBlond is the latest technological advancement in active cosmetics for the hair. Composed of silk
proteins, interlaced through a network of polysaccharides, GoBlond provides an efficient delivery system
that allows the entire bleaching process to take place without compromising the integrity of the hair fiber.
Vegetal polysaccharides
Forms an interlaced network for efficient delivery
Fibroin
Strengthens hair
and promotes fiber
reconstruction
Sericin
Provides for selective action
and initiates immediate repair
Seroin
Promotes intense shine
and noticeably improves
hair fiber condition.
How It Works
Delivery System
GoBlond, selectively protects the macro and microfibrils as well as the keratin chains and cuticles while
allowing melanin oxidation to occur.

Procedures
1 – GoBlond (7.5ml) + Developer Lotion 30v (60g) + Bleaching Powder (30g)
2 – Benchmark (7.5ml) + Developer Lotion 30v (60g) + Bleaching Powder (30g)
3 – Control: Developer Lotion 30v (60g) + Bleaching Powder (30g)
Parameters
During Application: Ease of application, ease of rinsing, bleaching effect, manageability and strength.
After Application: Manageability, softness, color, shine and overall appearance.
Results
During Application:
GoBlond achieved better results for hair resistance
than both the benchmark and control solutions.
Both GoBlond and the benchmark outperformed
the control solution in combing.
After Application:
GoBlond achieved better results for overall
appearance than both the benchmark and control
solutions. Both GoBlond and the benchmark
outperformed the control solution in combing,
softness and shine.
Benefits
Application
1. Mix bleaching powder and developer lotion (1:2)
2. Add GoBlond to the mixture in the amount of 25% of the bleaching powder ingredient used.
