Recital Packet
In this packet you will find important information pertaining to rehearsals, dress
rehearsals, tickets, flowers, t-shirts, show times, etc. Please read carefully and
mark your calendars of dates and times.
Tickets: The “Children’s “holi-dance” 1:30pm performance tickets are $6.00 (plus handling fees) for
main floor reserved seating and $5.00 (plus handling fees) for balcony reserved seating. “A Midsummer Night’s
Dream” and “Holi-Dance” 6:30pm performance tickets are $8.00 (plus handling fees) for main floor reserved
seating and $7.00 (plus handling fees) for balcony reserved seating. The Performance Matinee reserved seating
tickets are $5.00(plus handling fees). All show tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 5. Tickets can only be purchased
through tututix.com. or by calling tututix at 855-222-2849.

The Performance Matinee at 3:30pm will include the Dance Force Company, Jr. Rep, Repertory,
Int. and Adv. Variations, Choreolab and any competition soloist/duets that placed in the top 3!
Each dancer receives one free ticket redeemable by entering your personal code on the tututix.com website. You
will receive your free ticket code when you pay your recital fee. You can purchase your tickets until Tuesday,
May 31 through tututix.com. After May 31, tickets will be sold by general admission at dress rehearsal from
4:00-7:00pm and in the theater lobby 45 minutes prior to show.
IMPORTANT
Each student receives one free ticket. However, free tickets must be claimed through the tututix.com website
before May 31. Free tickets WILL NOT be distributed the night of the show or at dress rehearsal. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
T-shirts:
The one of a kind “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” & “Holi-Dance” T-shirts are
available for purchase. Stop by the front desk to get an order form. The t-shirts are $16.00. Payments can be made by
check: payable to Motion41 Dance or cash. ORDERS ARE DUE BY APRIL 16th. Don’t miss out!
Video:
To purchase a Motion41 Dance “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” & “Holi-Dance” performance videos, fill out
an order form available at the desk. Make checks payable to LCW Productions (checks only/ no credit cards or cash.)
The videos will be mailed to your home.
Flowers:
Will be in the lobby of Westside High School the day of the show to purchase for your special dancer.
Finale: At the end of each performance, we would like to invite all students participating in the recital to
come on stage, including those sitting in the audience, to take pictures with family and friends. This would be an ideal
time to give your special dancer flowers on stage. We hope all of you will enjoy this special “FINALE.”

rehearsal of dances during regular scheduled class times. (Saturday classes please wear recital costumes to class on
Saturday, May 21)! Come to class with hair and costumes…NO MAKEUP!
-SATURDAY, MAY 28: In Studio Dress Rehearsal at Motion41 Arrive at the studio 15 minutes
prior to rehearsal in full costume, hair and makeup. Enter the through the Studio 3 outside glass door and sign in.
The rehearsal will run in the show order. (Attendance is strongly recommended for these rehearsals.)

Children’s Division Make-up: Rosy blush and lipstick, black mascara. (No blue eye shadows)
Teen/Adult Division Make-up: Foundation, brown eye shadows (No blue eye shadows), rosy blush and lipstick, black mascara or false
eyelashes.
*Note: Dancers with multiple costume changes should wear a spaghetti strap nude leotard under their costumes. This will help with costume
changes in the backstage area. No Clear Straps, PLEASE!
*Young dancers with costume changes will be assigned a staff member or older dancer to help them change backstage.

SPACING REHEARSALS at Westside High School Auditorium
WEDNESDAY, June 1 / THURSDAY, June 2
(These are closed rehearsals / only staff is permitted!)
All DANCERS: Check in at the lobby desk when you enter the building and then proceed to the auditorium. It is important
that dancers not be late for their rehearsal time. If the dancer is late, we cannot guarantee that the dancer will be able to
participate in their allotted time on stage. NOTE: Spacing Rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday: No costumes, hair,
or makeup. Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your rehearsal. Please bring activities, water, and non-greasy/messy
snacks for your child to have if necessary. After your dancer's rehearsal: 1) Dancer’s proceed to lobby area for pick up.
2) Check out at lobby desk.

DRESS REHEARSALS AND SHOW ORDER at Westside High School Auditorium
RECITAL DRESS REHEARSAL FRIDAY, JUNE 3 (This is a closed rehearsal / only staff is permitted!)
All DANCERS: Check in lobby desk when you enter the theater and then proceed to your designated dressing area backstage (Adults will use the
cafeteria for dressing rooms, boys will be shown their dressing area backstage.) It is important that dancers not be late for their rehearsal time. If the
dancer is late, we cannot guarantee that the dancer will be able to participate in their allotted time on stage. NOTE: CHILDREN’S “HOLI-DANCE”:
dancers arrive at the auditorium in full costume, hair, and make-up at the ARRIVAL time posted below, sign in at desk and report to assigned
classroom (Boys backstage).Be sure that all shoes and costumes are labeled with dancer’s name. If your child is in more than one dance, they
will be shown where they can make their costume changes backstage with the assistance of a staff member. Put multiple costumes in a suitcase or
basket! Please bring activities, water, and non-greasy/messy snacks for your child to have in dressing room. After your dancer's rehearsal: 1)

1:30pm: Children’s “HOLI-DANCE:
3:30pm: PERMORANCE MATINEE
6:30pm: “A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM” & “HOLI-DANCE”:
Shows will start promptly at 1:30pm, 3:30pm & 6:30pm! (Please allow ample time for parking.)

All dancers must arrive at the auditorium ½ hour before show time and sign in at the desk.
Children’s “Holi-Dance” and “a Midsummer Night’s Dream” be in full costume, hair, make-up and ready to
perform when you arrive at the theater.

At the end of each show there is a FINALE, where the dancers will be brought back onto stage. This is where
family members can give their special dancer flowers, take photos on stage. If you do not want to participate in
the finale, after their dance(s) you can go to the dressing room to pick up your dancer and proceed to the desk to
sign out. We invite you to support the school and the other dancers by watching the show(s) with your dancer.

“Holi-Dance” dancers in the 6:30pm show who are not in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” may watch the show
from the audience if they have a ticket (have hair and make-up done.) Do not wear costumes in the auditorium.
Go backstage during the intermission after “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to change.
All audience members need a ticket.
The use of cameras and recording devices will not be permitted during the
performance. Thank you for your cooperation.
The performance will be professionally videotaped. Get your order forms at the front desk or on the lobby
table at the theater.
