About Kish Island
Kish Island with an area of 90 square Kilometers is one of the most
beautiful coral islands located 18 kilometers of the southern coasts
of Iran in the Persian Gulf. Thanks to good geographical situation,
the unique environment and the beautiful shores and vegetation,
Kish Island is visited by hundred thousands people a year. It has
more than 40 hotels, motels and big guesthouses with about 9500
beds. Kish International Airport which is receiving up to 108 flights
a day, serving thousands passengers in a single day.
The airport is the hub of Kish Air, with a dozen of regular flights
to almost all centers of provinces of Iran, in addition to occasional
charter and daily flights to Dubai and Sharjeh in UAE.
In addition to air transport, marine transport to Kish has increased by
establishment of shipping lines and improvement of its port. Also,
by implementation of the first phase of development plan for Kish
port, its capacity has increased from 2000 tons to 10,000 tons.
About the Exhibition
After the successful organizing of the 16th Iran-Kish International
Maritime Exhibition, Kish Investment and Development Company
fully supported by Kish Free Zone Organization intends to hold the
17th edition of the mentioned exhibition from 22 - 25 Dec. 2015.
At the 16th edition of the above event 140 companies including
18 foreign enterprises from the countries such as China, Germany,
Italy, Spain, UK, UAE, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Denmark,
Sweden, France, Belgium, Netherlands, south Korea, and Norway
were exhibiting a wide range of maritime industries products &
equipments.
This exhibition which was held in an area of 14,000 sqm indoor and
outdoor space and more than 50,000 sqm of watercrafts displaying
area received a unique and warm welcome from the traders and
specialists. Islamic Republic of Iran and the region are heavily
dependent on maritime industry to meet the increasing demand of
sea transport. We do hope that the Iran Kish International maritime
& Sailing Exhibition would be a suitable venue for participants
and visitors to meet their potential counterparts and discuss of their
interests and explore business opportunities.
