Hi-Star began production in 1986 and quickly became a major Taiwan exporter of convertibles and motoryachts.
The Hi-Star production facilities were among the most modern on the island and its products soon earned an
industry reputation for high quality engineering and construction. The company is now known as Activa Marine and
employs approx. 125 people with most of its production going to the United States.
"CARMA" is a very well maintained vessel designed for cruising and occasional fishing. She has a two head, two
stateroom interior with spacious salon features, standard lower helm, huge master cabin, and prodigious storage.
The engine room is very well finished and additional features include wide side decks, transom door, bow pulpit,
bridge seating for six. The twin CAT 375hp diesels cruise at 18 knots and will top out at 22-23 knots.

The salon features a generous all teak interior with sofa (w/pull-out berth), a hi-lo teak coffee/dining table, Over sized chair (w/pull-out berth), TV and stereo system, entertainment center with bar and
multiple storage areas. The salon visibility is 360 degrees plus full lower helm instrumentation and easy access electrical panel. The galley and lower helm are forward on the same level. The yacht
features Carpeting in the main salon, ceramic tile in the galley area and a teak and holly sole in the walk-way and head areas. Throughout CARMA there is fine teak cabinetry. Salon entertainment center
features 21" color television, AM/FM/CD Player. This yacht has a lower station with visibility both fore and aft. The master stateroom is forward and features a queen island berth, two hanging lockers and
ample drawer storage, all satin finished teak. There is an overhead hatch for emergency exit, additional light or ventilation. There are opening portlights port and starboard. The master stateroom also
features and Island Queen Berth. PORT: Guest Stateroom Upper and lower berths with ample closet and drawer storage. Two opening portlights, teak and holly sole. Guest head has an adjoining shower.

Hull and Deck
One of the many highlights of the Hi-Star yacht is the excellent fiberglass work and this is very evident in the molded non-skid decks, wide side decks with molded steps from the cockpit, transom door thru
to large fiberglass swim platform, and a large cockpit well suited for fishing, diving, or just cruising. There is a molded fiberglass bow pulpit with heavy duty stainless steel rails and heavy duty stainless
steel side stanchions. There are both freshwater and saltwater wash down systems, Maxwell electric windlass. Fenders and lines, navigation lights, swim platform, swim ladder. Hull color is white. There is
a locking tackle center with several drawers and a bait well. Fish box (tackle center) Bait well Cockpit sink & icemaker, (6) Rod holders.

Mechanical
The engine room has two separate access points. The stairs going forward to the staterooms lift up and the engine room is easily entered though there. In addition, the salon has three large hatches in the
middle of the floor when greater access is desired for more extensive maintenance. The engine room is fully sound insulated, features excellent access to the outboard sides of the main engines,
aluminum flooring, and full stringer engine saddles and isolation mounts. The well designed engine room on this Hi-Star Convertible is very impressive. Access to reverse cycle air conditioning with
separate controls for salon and staterooms. Cabin and Bridge controls(two stations), hydraulic steering, 2 automatic bilge pumps, 2 manual bilge pumps, fresh water cooling system, Racor fuel filters,
engine alarm, fuel shut off valve. Racor filters for generator and main engines. Automatic Halon Fire Control, High water alarm Bennett Trim Tabs, Electric Holding Tank pump out, Engine Temperature
