ANNOUNCEMENTS, JOYS AND CONCERNS OF THE CONGREGATION
*GATHERING SONG NO. 418
“Gentle Shepherd”
*THE CALL TO WORSHIP (Responsively)
Debbie Husar, Liturgist
God has known us since before we were born and God knows us better
than we even know ourselves and wants us to love Him with all our
heart, strength, and mind.
God needs us to do His work here on earth and we need God to
give us new life in heaven. It is a covenant that celebrates the
love of God for us and all of God’s people.
*THE HYMN OF PRAISE NO. 17
“O Worship The King”
*THE PRAYER OF INVOCATION (In Unison)
Dear God, we come to confess our love for You and our faith in
You, and yet we also confess that following Jesus and His life
example is difficult. We are sorry when we do not live as You would
want us to and we have come to make it right between us and You
and Your people. Come into our hearts now, we pray, so we can
once again be renewed in this worship to live as Christ taught us
to live. Amen.
*THE PASSING OF THE PEACE (Please greet others around you)
The peace of God be with you.
And also with you!
THE CHILDREN’S MESSAGE: “Reverend Sheep Dog”
Pastor Kramer
PASTORAL PRAYER AND LORD’S PRAYER (Debts and Debtors)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy
Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom and the power
and the glory, forever. Amen.

SHARING OUR TITHES, TALENTS AND TREASURES
THE CALL TO OFFERING (Responsively)
Offering is a time of witness, not about how much we give, but what is
in our hearts.
The offering counters may see what is in the envelope but God sees
what is in our hearts.
So let us ponder what God sees as we bring our gifts
and let us remember that our giving is an act of love for our God!
OFFERTORY
*OFFERTORY RESPONSE “Doxology” NO. 556
PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW;
PRAISE HIM, ALL CREATURES HERE BELOW;
PRAISE HIM ABOVE, YE HEAVENLY HOST;
PRAISE FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST. AMEN
*DEDICATION PRAYER (In Unison)
O God, bless our gifts we pray, not that we may receive glory, but
rather, Your name, love and work may go forth from this place. May
our offerings bring new life to those who are in need both within our
community and in our congregation. Amen.
*HYMN OF MEDITATION NO. 78
SCRIPTURE READING

“Family of Faith”
*BENEDICTION RESPONSE
IT'S BEEN GOOD TO BE TOGETHER.
IT'S BEEN GOOD TO WORSHIP AS A FAMILY OF FAITH.
THOUGH IT'S PLAIN FOR ALL TO SEE, WE'RE AS DIFFERENT AS
CAN BE, YET WE'RE ONE IN LOVE, WE'RE ONE IN OUR CARE,
WE'RE ONE IN OUR FAMILY OF FAITH.
*POSTLUDE
Thank you!

Weed pullers
needed. We have contracted our lawn
care to an outside company, but this
company is not doing weed control.
Please let me know your interest in
weeding the sidewalks and landscaped
areas.
Kay Whitfield
Volunteer Coordinator
Dear Salem,
Need volunteers to
cover the office each Tuesday morning
during the time of staff meetings. Time is
9-11 or so. Work simply requires answering
the phone, greeting visitors, etc. Let me
know your availability. I have some people
pre-scheduled on a monthly basis, but
emergencies arise and I need to have some
more back-up.

Our sympathy
goes out to the family of Don Niemeyer,
who passed away on June 17th.
Thank you so much for all the help
and love you've given me through
the years! And for my confirmation, I
got so much love and support from
everyone! Thank you! I got many
great memories and keepsakes, like
the communion cup, the corsage
and the gift of a beautiful necklace.
Thank you everyone for helping me
become a member at Salem!
Katie Husar
We have received a
memorial in memory of John Salsman on
his birthday and Lester & Jean Hamann on
their anniversary from Wanda.
