THE FOUNDATIONS OF OUR SUCCESS
Balta was founded in 1964 and is this year celebrating its
50th anniversary. The Balta Group has grown into one of
the leading producers of floor coverings in Europe with a
consolidated turnover of more than 586 million Euros and
with 95% of its products exported to over 100 countries
throughout the world.
INNOVATION
OPERATIONAL IMPROVEMENT
Creativity and innovation abound in new products,
colours and designs driven by market need. Product
development teams within each division at the Balta Group
keep a close eye on international trends and make sure
that it stays one-step ahead in each sector of the
markets it operates in.
As a market leader, the Balta Group is not only seen as
a trend setter in rugs, broadloom carpet and carpet tiles,
but also as a pioneer in new flooring technologies
and solutions.
With state-of-the-art vertically integrated production
facilities, the Balta Group is constantly looking to improve
its operations on all levels, applying the principles of
‘LEAN’ manufacturing.
A Total Quality Management system in all production plants
ensures that products from the Balta Group are safe and
perform well and the manufacturer looks for synergies
wherever possible, helping it to rationalise product portfolios.
The Balta Group comprises: woven area rugs (Balta Rugs),
wall-to-wall carpets, residential carpet tiles and needle felt
(Balta Broadloom and ITC), wall-to-wall carpet (Arc Edition®)
and tiles (modulyss®) for commercial use and technical
non-wovens (Captiqs®).
The Balta Group has 10 production sites worldwide,
including two in Uşak Turkey, and a distribution center
that services North America in Dalton, USA.
Carried by the efforts and energy of more than 3,300
employees, the Balta Group delivers a professional,
customer-friendly approach by which it becomes a
reliable partner for companies in many markets.
A unique market-orientated creativity, strongly enforced
vertical integration and operational excellence at every
level are the driving forces of the Balta Group’s strategy.
SUSTAINABILITY
PEOPLE
The Balta Group understands its responsibility to the
communities in which it operates and the environment as
a whole. With the aim of reducing its energy consumption
and waste output, the Balta Group is developing more
sustainable products, and improving production methods
and procedures.
Such is the Balta Group’s commitment to reducing its
reliance on fossil fuel energy that it has recently completed
three solar energy projects with a total of 50,000 solar
panels covering an area of approximately 271,000 m2
(54 football pitches) upon factory roofs. The production of
this renewable energy will allow the group to reduce its CO2
emissions by 95 million kg over the next 20 years.
People are the greatest strength of the Balta Group!
Their talent, commitment and drive make the difference.
We are proud of our people, so varied in nationality,
background, specialization, ... Their daily work and
dedication ensures that we can realize our
ambitious goals as a group.
As a company, we provide an inspiring environment,
where there is lots of room for initiative, creativity and
entrepreneurship. We invest in training and coaching so
that our employees can develop their talents and
feel at home in our companies.
