AES YEARBOOK
2014-15
2
3
The speed with which the international school year flows by is amazing. There is so
much that happens in the ten months that comprise the year. For me, it has been a
pleasure to literally and figuratively sit on the sidelines and watch you interact with
each other and display your talents.
I hope that AES has been a school environment that has regularly allowed you to
develop pleasant and rewarding friendships and acquaintances. I also hope that
your teachers, counselors and administrators have served you well, and that
together, you have learned a great deal. In fact, I trust you depart AES with
expanded knowledge and a love of learning.
High School is not always a great experience for people. It can be a complicated
time of life. I trust that this year AES was a great experience for you and that you
are a better person because of being here at the school and in India.
Seniors, 2015 graduates, I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.
Thank you for your contributions to the school. Your personalities, interests and
skills have added to the quality of AES. For this, I am grateful to you.
Paul Chmelik
Director

It is fairly widely believed it seems that
students attending AES are forever changed
by their experience here as evidenced by the
comments from scores of alumni that return
to campus throughout the year. Students,
families, and teachers often state that there is
a comfortable and warm energy flowing
throughout the campus. This good
atmosphere has sustained itself over time and
is the backdrop to the good things happening
in the high school, and indeed, AES.
As one of the new faculty and staff members
at AES this year, it is already with pride that I
am part of this wonderful community and,
particularly, the high school. I have been impressed by the friendly nature of the
high school student body and know, in reference to my above writing, that the
students here are very much an “engine” that keeps the friendly atmosphere so
alive and positive.
How busy can a school get? Well, we have all asked ourselves that question from
time to time at a school that offers so many opportunities to students whether it
is in academics, service, athletics, or activities. The challenge for students comes in
juggling all that is on offer and then pursued. Honestly, the tension between being
involved joyfully in so many pursuits and keeping a balance in life is one that likely
will be a life-long course of management but the students at AES dive in with vigor.
We are proud of that energy and attitude that embodies excellence.
From my perspective, our high school students have been vital in keeping the good
name of AES alive. The diversity and the way in which we all see each other with an
equal lens is often wished for in places but, as we sadly know, is not realized
everywhere. Our school embodies acceptance and harmony of nationalities, ethnicities,
length of tenure, and varying opinions. We are better than the sum of our parts!
For those of you departing AES and India after this school year, we wish you safe
travels and continued success in your life's journey wherever you may be headed.
Please do not forget your lessons learned here nor forget your experiences. You have
contributed to what makes our school a wonderful place to be and you will be missed.

Yearbook Coordinators
We proudly present to you yearbook 2014-15, which is a valuable souvenir from AES.
We have tried to capture you in a variety of roles that will remind you of AES as the
most cherished place. We had a very dedicated team that worked yearlong on the
yearbook pages at school and home. We all met the deadline challenges together in
order to bring this book into your hands on time. Jihae Han, the student editor of our
Publication has a flair for designing pages. She was always around when someone
needed her. She helped in making the cover page, back cover, and also contributed in
making the minicourse pages, student portrait and event pages. The other crucial
members of our committee who played a vital role and lent us their expert opinions
are Caroline Mauldin, Naintara Maira, Anna Svane, Ravisa Kalsi, Rhea Vyas, Ishita
Gulati and Isabella Louise Evans. They collaborated well with each other, offered
insights and took total responsibility for completing the work assigned to them.
Additionally, they all helped the seniors with saving their pages in the right space on
the shared drive. They also helped us with arranging photos from various sports, after
school activities and theatrical events during after school hours.
Last but not least, we would like to extend our thanks to Mr. Johnson, Ms. Manchester
and Ms. Maggie Dorairaj, for encouraging our seniors to complete their senior pages on
time. Their timely reminders worked wonders with submissions.
Thanks and Best Regards
Mrs. Ahuja & Mr. Soni

THANK YOU AES! Delhi has shaped who I am and what I want to become, AES
is a huge part of that.
Everything I have and everything I am is because of you too. I am so glad I have such open,
honest relationships with you. I have always admired both of you; Mom, for your strength,
wisdom, and kindness, Dad, for your ability to overcome, your encouragement, and attitude.
I know I do not always say it but you both mean so much to me and I can't even being to
explain how much I love you!
Erin & Mike: Thank you for making my parents happy. All I want for them is to be
happy and you both are a big part of that. I consider you to be a part of my family. I honestly
cannot imagine a life without you both. I love you!
Keegan: Buddy, you are my best friend. I do not know what I am going to do
without you in college. I know you will grow up to be a wonderful man. As we get older we
become closer and I am thankful for that. Try not to be too much of shit while I'm gone.
Love you Keegena!

Banter in the café, taking treks during Group 3, minicourse
and working hard with Varsity Football are a few experiences
that have highlighted my time at this school. It's truly been a
privilege. Easy to say I'm going to miss a lot of things,
particularly Shiv's laugh, Siddhant's English, witnessing
Rehan's weight loss regime, the car journeys with Julian and
Dongi, mocking Neil and August about Arsenal and walking
into the same school as my cousin Basquiat. High school's
feeling of immensity doesn't compare to all the hurdles we
will overcome later on in life and I'm rooting for all of us to
take what we've learnt and go far! I hope I've given to this
school as much as I have taken from it and so I'd like to thank
my teachers for all the guidance and support. Ofcourse I'd
also like to thank my parents for everything they've done for
me over the years. Thank you AES!

I want to thank my family, friends, teachers and everyone else
who have made my two years at AES an unforgettable experience !
Thank you AES for giving me this experience. Through my 3 years at this school I have met a bunch of
lovely people who I will stay connected with as long as I live. First and foremost the one and only
Dhawan needs to be addressed. It is really going to be bad when we part ways. You are the only one that I
have been close to ever since I arrived and I appreciate you for the lovely Dhawande that you are. I will
miss our late night talks in your shitty and good cars, and I will miss you and your “subtle” ways of
checking out chicks everyday, which always brightened my day, whenever I felt a little blue. Our spring
break adventures must not stop, as I don't think I would get by without a little Rahul here and there in my
life. I love you bro!
Following Shivvy is another brother that I will miss dearly. Ever since we began speaking when you
joined HoA we have just continued to do so and our relationship has just grown more and more since.
That laughter will forever be ringing in my ears and I know that we will stay in contact somehow, at
some point there will be something you don't know and need help with and I think you already know
which person it is you are going to call first .
Next in order is Niiileeee. Nile we have shared quite an adventure together, being fellow gunners
supporters. Those late night talks, the ones we actually made, not the falling asleep next to skype so that
the other guy could hear him snore ones haha. It has been 2 great years that we have shared and I know
we will continue to chat whenever Sanchez smashes a new beauty.
OmiiiGuptaa, I will miss those silky smooth arms of yours. Our 2 years together has been great fun, all
the requests for sending problem sets and the notes for class has been entertaining . I truly care for you
and hope the best for your future, which I know will be very bright with all the knowledge tucked into
your cute head. VITTHUURR bhaiya, we must not forget you. Its been great having you around for
these last couple of years and we have shared several fun memories together with our other buds. That
one time when you beat me at fifa is still itching in my entire body, but I shall get over it. I wish you all
the best for your bright future bud Take care.
Lastly Nick Patel, my true bball bro. Mesac will probably be pathetic, but nevertheless we will have fun
together. It's been a pleasure having you by my side both on and off court.
And to everyone else that I forgot to mention thank you for making AES a great experience.

Mamma & Daddy: Thanks for bringing me into this wonderful world! You’re
the best parents a child could ever ask for. Thank you for supporting me all the
way until I begin to start to take my own steps into college. I’ve enjoyed many
memories as a family and I’ll miss you so much. Thanks for pushing me when I
needed it and thank you for constantly saying that “we are applying” instead of “I am
applying” to show me how much you guys care. Thank you Mamma and Daddy. I love you
both very much. I’ll become a doctor and make you proud J “Some people don’t believe in
heroes and angels but they haven’t met my mom and dad” <3
Sonia: Hi sonuuu<3 I’ll miss you so much (you have no idea). You’re the best sister ever.
Study hard and have fun! I WILL call you everyday (even if you don’t want me to). I’ll miss
our fighting more than ever. Love you chotu<3 Rock 8 grade & High School J
th
Dida: Words cannot express how much I love you (as a friend). We have been super close
from the beginning. Sorry, for the times I looked through your phone. But honestly, that’s the
reason why we’re such good friends until this day. I’ll miss you so much its insane. You better
miss me too <3 Anyways, you have a great time in art school in Malaysia while I’ll be slaving
around trying to become a doctor hehehxD. Once again, you’re the greatest friend ever and
I’ll miss you tons. OMG!! I just can’t believe we’re seniors and we’ll be college students,
time flies! It feel like just yesterday when we met in 10 grade.
th
Harshita: Meeting you for the first time was interesting. I knew for a fact that we would
become good friends the minute I noticed you were tall and an indian girl. Together we’ll be
the abnormally tall giraffes. The first day, I loved talking to you about ChetanBhagat and
everything in your life. Then I brought you to my friends and together we are the bestest
friends ever. BTW, I now love ChetanBhagat (thanks for that!) Your crazy anger and childish
behavior combined with my playfuless and childish behavior (*cough cough* ) has made us
super good friend and you will be missed <3 <3
Zina: It’s been a crazy two years! Have a great time in college JFinally, we will no longer be
seeing each other for days on end (hahha) I’ll never be able to catergorize our “friendship”
and its been nice? being able to sleep for you (when you pulled all-nighters)
Vrinda: I didn’t know you very well when I found out you were moving to Magnolias but
ever since then we’ve had many memories together one of them including a crazy harry
potter marathon ending in us looking like zombies and sleeping through parts of X-men J I’ll
miss you tons and the bus rides as well (secrets were spilled)! And hope you have an
awesome time in college!!
Max &Meigan: Hello my chinese friends (though one of you is actually American)!!! I’ll
miss you guyssoo much. I’ll miss Meigan’s sassiness and Max’s anti-socialness a lot. You
guys have been great friends and I hope you have an awesometastic time at college. Max,
keep beating all games (flappy bird & 2048) and Meigan (have fun and keep at in with double
science haha)
tMohini: My awesome junior, I’ll miss you soo much in college. I wont ever be able to
forget our constant bickering and random poetry in minicourse. That was a great week
though we did end up getting tired of each other! The lord of the rings marathon that I tried
but failed (slept at 15 minutes), sorry about
that… I love my sleep.

and continue to do so till today. I love all of you so very much. I am so lucky to call you my family. Meghana Aghi: Who knows
when you will read this but I want to just thank you for always being there for me and supporting me throughout high school and
helping me so much. I would not be half the person I am without you. I am so grateful to have you in my life. Hopefully we will
be seeing a lot more of each other in the next couple of years, at least more than we have seen each other in the last two years. I
love you so much! 12 years and counting. Anna Svane: I am going to miss not having you around as much, but I’m sure it’s only
for a short period of time. I will definitely come see you and you will have to come see me! Good luck with everything and thank
you for always being there for me. You are an amazing person and it has been nothing but a privilege for me to have you in my
life and have you by my side through so much. Love you! Messages and calls are definitely going to be intervening in our
friendship. I’m going to miss you my Juan! Don’t forget me! You’re my moon and I’m your stars, so I am always here for you no
matter where in the world we are. Stay frosty! Ria Wadhawan: Hey favorite person. I’m so happy we are friends and I have had
you by my side through so much. I’m going to miss not seeing you everyday, although I know you probably won’t miss me as
much. But I’m sure on the weekends we’ll be seeing a lot of each other. No getting away from me. I love you and thank you for
being so funny and entertaining me, you are indeed the best friend everyone would want. Rohan Govil: It’s so strange to think
about not even talking to you just a year ago. Thank you for always listening to me and being there for me. I’m going to miss you
next year, but I know we will see each other soon. You’re truly an amazing person. Tarini Miglani: From Singapore to Delhi,
it’s been great knowing you. I’m so happy you moved here because we have gotten so close in the last year, that junior and senior
year just wouldn’t seem right if you weren’t at AES. I’m sure we will be seeing each other often in the future, but I’m going to
miss seeing you everyday! I love you! Aadit Kumar: Having you in my life for the last what 16 years now? It has been nothing
but fun, you’re practically family so don’t expect to get rid of me after high school. Good luck with college and here’s to at least
another 50 years of knowing each other. Love you. Caroline Mauldin: It’s been so great getting to know you girly! I’m going to
miss you so much next year, we better be together every long weekend we have, because I do not know what I am going to do
without you in my life. You’re my ‘butter half’. Love you mucho. Anna Rynearson: Anna! It’s been so great getting to know
you since you mispronounced my name in 7th grade. You’ve been such an amazing friend to me and I wish you all the best in
college, I’ll miss having classes with you, but we will definitely visit each other very soon! Sofia Rahman: Fia! I feel like we
were separated at birth, you understand me like no one else ever has or will. I know I can always count on you, you are such an
amazing person and trust me; we will be seeing each other very soon after high school. I will come find you wherever you are no
matter where I am. I love you so much bbyfia. AreonCarter:You have always been my rock and I know we have had our ups
and downs but at the end of the day you will always be my best friend that knows just about everything about me. We started
high school together and I wish we could have graduated high school together too but thank you for putting up with me for the
time we were together. Shivani Dharmadhikary: Shivani, it’s been so great getting to know you. Good luck with college and
don’t forget me when you’re the most successful person ever. See you soon. Anjali Dhillon: I’m so happy I have had the chance
to get to know you better. You’re such an amazing person and friend. Don’t worry; I’ll still be making quick Skype calls to you
even in college! Good luck with everything! Rhea and Renaldo: you guys are my family for life! We have been through so
much together and I could not have done any of it without you two! Rhea you will always be my little sister and expect a Skype
call from me at least once a week. And Renaldo, I am going to miss you so much, you’ve been so important in my life, we will
definitely be seeing each other soon! We have to have a reunion at least every once a year after you guys graduate. Love you
guys so much! Good luck next year. Kara White: My Singapore buddy, I will miss spending endless amounts of time with you
on the streets of Singapore. But we will have to go explore some other part of the world together! I love you and I’m here for you
always. Servane Fournier: Hey girl, I remember our very first conversation when you were new here, it was a solid
conversation about where your English class was. Anyway since that day, it’s been great getting to know! I love you and I’m
sure we will see each other soon! To all my teachers: Thank you to all of you for helping me through high school and
motivating me to reach my goals. You are all amazing teachers, thank you so much for all the support and encouragement you
have given me! Lucas Swope: Thank you for being so entertaining during free. I don’t think I have ever laughed as much as I
have with you. Good luck next year and I will come see you when you’re famous (because we all know its going to happen).

AES has given me with more than I can ask. It has
transformed me from a shy child, to an extrovert. It
has provided me with some of my closest friends
and has introduced me to some of the most
artistically inclined human beings. The teachers
that I've had have inspired me. And I cannot thank
everyone at AES enough. I've had my ups and
downs, but as I look back, everything that I've
done and learnt at this educational institute has
enabled me to further enhance my own knowledge
and understanding. Thank you AES and I love
everyone who've made my time here so special.

AMYA
BHALLA
Atended AES from K-12!
Mother, Mommy, Mimi, Ma; I call you a number of things (none of them mom for some reason) but they all mean the same thing: the
best person in the world. Admitedly, I was not always the best kid, but despite that you always did everything for me. You ofen downplay
yourself (and so do I), but you really are the smartest and greatest person I know.
Papi, unlike Mommy, I have only ever called you one thing, but it means
several things: clean, professional, driven, clever, prepared, always one
step ahead, and a litle (very) quirky. Everything that I am is because of
you. You have always been there for me, even if a lot of the tme you
were not physically there. Just know, the greatest compliment I have ever
received was, “You are just like your Dad”.
Nanimi, You raised me and owe my childhood to you. You never
stopped at anything go get me everything I needed. I never felt
lonely because you took such great care of me. Everything you
have done means so much to me. I will miss you so much.
Anjali, you have been the one constant friend in my life. All the way from
KG to 12, that’s insane. Sometmes I forget and then remember and I
just have to stare at you in disbelief for a minute or two. The face of the
litle girl you were fashes before my eyes and I see all the ways in which
you have changed, and all the ways in which you are exactly the same. I
sound like a granny, but you have grown up to be a fne young lady, and
I know you will go on to do amazing things (don’t mean to brag, but I
always knew you would).
Family, Nastasha didi, Shanu Mama, Dada, all of you where
there for me as I grew up; always coming to my performances,
swim meets, art shows. Thank you so much for all your support, you all the best family I could have hoped for.
Bubsy, couldn’t have done it
without you.
Swim team(s), every year swim team becomes so close. Maybe because we swim in each other’s pee and sweat. Despite
that, we develop it is such a beautful relatonship every tme.
This will be one of the things I miss most about high school.
Coach, thank you for coaching me since 8th grade, your support and encouragement has meant a lot to me.
Thank you B-ball team and Coaches, I love
playing B-ball because of you guys.
Ms. Poonam, thank you for coaching me, you
are such a great person.
Class of 2014: You guys helped me in a lot of ways, thank you! Class of 2016: My
Juniors, have fun nerds! Class of 2015: Fellow Seniors, I am lucky to graduate with
such an amazing bunch. Ms. Rosenfeld , thank you for being the best counselor
ever! Sumeera, thank you for being so patent with me, you are a great teacher.
Friends, I have the honor of saying I
have way to many friends to actually list out. I love all of you, I know
I can be a lot of deal with, but you
guys seem to like it. No mater what
I say, ever second of your presence
has been much appreciated. Where
would life be without great friends? I
have had the honor of knowing some
of the coolest people around. I hope
we stay in touch FOREVER, yes forever. Even if you don’t want to, expect
to be harassed by me for the rest of
your lives. Zina, you are awesome,
you never have to worry!
Teachers, all my teachers since elementary to high
school: All of you have shaped me, and I treasure
every single thing I learned. I think you all have the
best job, and you are all really good at it. Thank you,
I will never forget any one of you. Biology teachers,
Mr. Brakenhof , thank you for sparking my interest
in Biology, your class is the reason Bio contnues to
be my favorite subject. Mr. Hoover, you are the most
hardworking teacher I have ever met, and it really
pays of. I got two years with you, but I wish I could
have stayed even longer in your class to ask questons
about life, death, and of course, the cosmos.
New Delhi, I’ll be honest, sometmes I really hate you,
but you have given me the best tmes of my life. You
are a crazy city, from which I have learned so much. I
would never take my tme here back. Also, thanks for
the Typhoid fever and Bronchits, much appreciated.
AES, you have given me my greatest asset, an
educaton, and the best kind too. You made me a
well-rounded and caring person, I would not be the
kind of person I am if it weren’t for you. You are a
machine, and I thank everyone that is a part of you!
Amya, gurl, I stuggle to understand you, but you get
me...see you later in the mirror. Good luck.

MOM: Thank you for always being there for me
for the last eighteen years through all my stress,
frustration, and anxiety. I appreciate all the
sacrifices you have made for my education and
me. I'm sorry for all the slammed doors and
constant wake up calls at odd hours. I know I like
to pretend that college is no big deal, but I am
scared to start a new phase of life without you.
Love you loads. DAD: You are my role
model. From music to sense of humor and from
travelling to views of the world, you have
shaped the person I am today. Thank you for late

MIA: There are literally not enough words to
express how much I love you and how grateful I am for everything you have done for
me. This has been a hard year, and I don't know how I would have gotten through it
without you pushing, challenging, and supporting me. Thank you for being a big sister
who is also third parent and a best friend. Feel free to crash in my dorm room anytime.
NANI: Thank you for the long nights looking after me in Delhi, quizzing me on biology,
and just supporting me in everything. Love you! SHIVLAL: I'm sorry for being so
difficult. Waking me up every morning is no easy feat, so thank you! I will miss you next
year! SHIVANI: Who knew in sixth grade how close we would end up in high school?
I'm writing this in November so I don't know where we will end up in college, but I hope
we are close and if not, we have to continue our three hour long Skype calls. At times, our
school rants and obsessing over new T.V. shows are honestly what kept me sane through
out these last years. I am going to miss you so much next year. AMYA: Here we are!
Through out elementary and middle school I had always dreamed of the day we would
graduate together and now it's finally here! You probably know me better than anybody
else, since we have basically grown up together. I will always remember the times we
got in trouble for burying our shoes, Wednesday night Bollywood dancing, and
Powerpuff Girl recesses. I love talking to you about anything and everything and I hope
we continue to in college. CHIARA: It is so hard to figure out what to write to my best
friend. You moving away for the two hardest and best years of high school kind of
sucked, but I am so happy that it did not dent our friendship even a little bit. I love you so
much and thank you for always being there for me. I'm so excited for Spain!AADIT: I
will regret this, but let it be in writing that you are one of funniest people I know. Thank
you for being such a great friend who I can talk to about anything for the last four years.
I'm going to miss our stressing out about school, lazing around in Forensics, and
scraping through history. TARINI: What am I going to do without you in college? I am
so happy to have been service coordinator with you. We were truly the dream team of
cute animal pictures. Through out the years you have pretty much been my savior in
Biology and English. I'll miss you tons next year!RIA: It's crazy to think that I've known
since 3rd grade! I'm always going to miss our Buzzfeed adventures in Econ class in 11th.
NAINTARA: Thank you for calming me down every time I freaked out about HOTA.
You're such a great friend and I hope we stay in touch <3 MS. GARG: Thank you for
all your guidance and support. I loved working with you these last two years. MR.
PITALE: You continue to inspire me every day in class. Thank you for being a great
teacher and mentor. MR. RUGNETTA: I learned so much from you inside and outside
of class. Thanks for everything!

Mom: Its going to be hard enough to leave home and start my college life, but the hardest part of all will be to say goodbye to my
mom who has cared for me for 18 years. I don't mean it will be hard to do my own laundry or make my own dinners, contrary to
popular belief in our house, I'm actually very self sufficient. However, to leave someone who says she loves me everyday and
cares for me even if I don't want it. That is truly hard. I love you mom, and no matter how much I will deny it, I am still your baby.
Dad: Not only do I have to say goodbye to my mom, but to leave the man I still look up even as a young adult, my dad, will be
beyond difficult. You've taught me what it means to be a good person and have given me knowledge to be a good man (except
how to pay taxes, that has still yet to be properly explained to me). I'm going to miss you Dad. I love you.
Duncan: My 2 tips for high school for you, Duncan, are: 1) stop playing video games then complain about not having time to do
homework, don't be that guy, and 2) spend a lot of time with your friends because they will be what makes your time at school
great. I'll Skype you everyday and give you really big hugs when you visit. Love you buddy, have fun and don't die. Also, no, you
can't have the things in my room when I go to college. Seriously thought, I'll miss you so much. Be good for mom and dad.
Saleem: You've been my best friend Saleem and every moment with you has been awesome. Spend your senior year having fun
and please please please keep in touch so we can have more conversations about the mysteries of the universe. Whenever you're
near New York or when I'm near Portland, we should get together. Farwell, my dearest and epic friend. *insert twilight princess
opening song here*
Daisy: I think it goes without saying you've been an amazingly good friend to me, even through all the physical, verbal,
emotional, and psychological abuse you've put me through…actually it's hard trying to remember why you're a good friend now.
In all seriousness Daisy, you've made my time in India the best and life will be dark and dreary (just like your heart) without you.
Keep in touch so we can talk about cats.
Bea: I owe a special thanks to you Bea because you were my first friend here at AES, and if it weren't for you, I'd still be that
weird kid listening to music in the breezeway during lunch (I sometimes still do that, but whatever). You're an amazing and fun
person and I'll miss you big time. Have fun in college and start planning the group's reunion in like 10 years.
Thomas: You're a good man Thomas, a gentleman and a scholar. You have your times of being too nerdy for your own good, but
those can be overlooked by your times as a really fun guy. I would wish you good luck in college, but I already know you have
enough smarts to make a new form of space travel using aluminum foil and cheese or something along those lines. You've made
senior year great and I'll miss your funny way of pronouncing French words. Message me sometime.
Tara: I will go on record saying that you, Tara, have the second best singing voice I've ever heard, and the first one is Freddy Mercury;
sorry, but no one can beat Freddy. You are going to be the next big singer and I know you will have a very fun and successful life.
You've been good to me and it's been an honor to be considered your friend. Please message me when you have time.

we've been best friends and have hit it off like no other. You've always had my back and have
seen me through some rough times and I greatly appreciate you always being there. Playing
baseball, going out, learning from you, making fun of you has been some of the better
moments of my life. Now I know you are going to tease and make fun of me for all these but
imma do me, I love you bud <3. Bas: Thank you for being a huge part of my life, can't

Now onto all my college freshman out there: PAPIII, Brendt (Herbert Walker), Lukey, Ni-Ni,

more than just a coach. Mr. Schmid: “O Captain! My Captain!” Thank you for being an

Thomas Tiberghien - French/Colombian - 3 Years at AES
Ever since, first landing in Delhi, AES has been full of ups and downs and twists and turns. The past three years in India
have been entertaining, stressful, exciting, upsetting, and sometimes unsettling. They have completely changed my outlook to the world and developed me as a person: my four-years-ago self, would have no idea who I am. I have learned
much and gained much, and I will be very sad to leave such a wonderful community. Every second of it was worth it!
To Bea <3: I know we didn't get along too well in our sophomore year, but today, I don't know what I would do without you. I think the
hardest part about graduating and leaving India will be coming to terms that I will not see you everyday. Thank you for making my last
year here so great; you will always have a place in my heart. Ti amo.
To Tara: We go back a while now and I'll miss you and your crazy times. Thank you for being such a fantastic person and friend. Thanks
for always listening to me. Remember to always be who you want to be, screw social norms!
To Yesh: Even though together we become the most terrible people on the planet, AES would not have been the same way without you.
Remember to keep playing tennis and eating Taco Bell (even though Chipotle is soooo much better), which is what makes you Yesh. Math
will not molest you forever and have fun in college, please.
To Ian, Daisy, and Saleem: Thank you for making me less of a nerd, even though I still am, and making me see that not everything is about
academics. Even though I wasn't into anime as much as you guys, I still had fantastic times talking to you and you are all awesome people.
To Janvi: SPACESHIP!!! That is all.
To Sachin: Even though we only knew each other a year here at school, it was you who welcomed me with open arms and without you
I would still be on the sidelines.
To my teachers: You have drowned me in a passion for learning that would not have been possible anywhere else. You are the best at
what you do. Thank you for answering all my questions and always being supportive. Special thanks to Mr. Schmid, Mr. Toigo, and Ms.
Shrestha. I hope we meet again!
To everyone else: from Sean Titus who introduced me to volleyball to Vidur Mehra who was excellent competition in my academic life
to Carlos Hurtado Who taught me everything philosophical, you all contributed to my life. You all defined my life at AES and beyond
and I hope you have a great future ahead of you.
Anyways, all these emotions are making me dizzy, so I'll finish with this: Today is not the end, it is the beginning…

From people to MESAC Tennis and Swimming, to mole
bucks (and everyone in that Chem class), to so much
more, I don't know what I will miss the most from my
Dme here. But I'm going to definitely cherish
everything fantasDc that has happened to me at this
school. Everyone that I didn't menDon here (you know
who you are), I don't know what I would do without all
of you. All I can do is thank you.
Sachin: I really need to thank you for introducing me
to the world outside of vegetarian food. It has truly
been an enlightening experience ever since Burger
King in Shanghai in 8th grade.
Sohil: I hope you realize that I'm beMer than you at
Ping-Pong. Also, all those Dmes at the Jdubz (and your
annoying demon of a dog haha) and the dumplings and
the pizza and the Body Shop that I didn't go in with you
and Shailesh, and all those labs in Bio and Chem and
memorizing Brown and Ford, it was all something to
remember. And I'm so much beMer than you at
Pokemon, don't even try. Alright 2.
Thomas: One word à
Mexico
Actually there's more à
Taco, and that I decided to put
your photoshopped picture of me in a sombrero on
here so thanks for that. Also, Cards Against Humanity
on Minicourse? Can't forget that…
Rashmi: I probably wouldn't know what music REALLY is
if it wasn't for you and Sachin making me listen to
something other than “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” in
middle school. And also, stall #2 (Minicourse
memories?)
Ankit and Vasant: Ankit, next year, please eat the food
Vasant gives; and Vasant bring me food when I'm in
college.
Teachers: Every one of you has made a truly posiDve
impact on me, and I may not be where I am without all
of you.
Parents: Even though you're the worst, you're also the
very best. And I should really thank you for all the
support during every moment. You've helped me learn
to discern right from wrong, and for all the guidance
you've given me, I'm truly grateful.
Karthik: You're the smartest kid I know; don't get cocky.
