Welcome to the Kings Point Theatre. We are proud to
announce this season’s new series of incredible shows. Many
performers will be making their Kings Point debut, along with
performers who have entertained us in the past.
This seasons programming includes comedy, revues,
singing, dance and musical groups.
This will be a fantastic season with entertainers such as Art
Explosion, The Unreachable Stars, Michael Cavanaugh and
Dudu Fisher gracing our stage.
We invite all of you to experience this wonderful and exciting
2016-2017 season with us at the Kings Point Theatre!

THE SENSATIONS MOTOWN SHOW

The Sensations is a four man group that will have you believing that
The Temptations, The 4 Tops and other Motown legends are in the
house. The performance features fantastic vocals and terrific dance
routines. They also cover groups like The Drifters, The Coasters, The
Miracles and The Platters just to name a few. They did a version
of Smokey Robinson’s “Ooo Baby Baby” that was so dead on, that
many in the crowd thought that the original recording was being
played!
AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS
TRIBUTE TO THE ANDREW SISTERS
Friday, November 11th 8:00pm
A swing style female vocal trio performing to the sound of The
Andrew Sisters singing tunes from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
They perform at military events, air shows and award ceremonies,
on cruise ships, parades and at holiday events. Join them on a
sentimental journey through the great music of the 30’s and 40’s.
They blend beautiful ballads with your favorite toe-tapping tunes,
and of course, in classic USO fashion, takes some time to honor our
brave men and women in the military. From Boogie Woogie to the
Blues, America’s Sweethearts celebrate the best the Great American
Songbook has to offer. Let us not forget the color guards to honor
our brave men and women!

Gold Coast Opera Presents “Serenade” with great music from
Broadway, Operetta and international favorites. Alexander Perez,
an outstanding tenor, who received critical acclaim in the New York
Times for his lead tenor role in the Zarzuela Luisa Fernanda. The
warmth and passion of his singing makes him an audience favorite
wherever he goes! Cheryl Cavendish is known for her golden lyric
soprano and sparkling stage personality. She has appeared in Opera,
Operettas, musical theater productions and concerts throughout
Florida. William Stafford a powerful baritone in leading roles with
the Palm Beach Opera, the Gold Coast Opera and in concert with
the Columbus Symphony. These three outstanding voices present
an exciting and romantic concert of famous melodies from classic
Broadway, American and Viennese Operetta, with international love
songs and more!

Michael D’Amore performs as a one-man show highlighting the
best of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. He has had the pleasure to work
as a “Duo” with recent Blues Hall of Fame inductee Angel Rissoff
doing blue-eyed soul hits by groups like the Righteous Brothers
and performs regularly with a group called “The Yester Daze.” In
2012, his latest CD “In Harmony” was met with great success. “This
is a labor of love and such a great source of pride.” In Harmony
is special because Michael played and sang every part on this CD,
which was something he always wanted to do. He continues to
strive for perfection in his craft and will always measure his level of
success by the number of smiles in his audiences. He will have the
audience swaying in their seats and bobbing their heads.

With the advantage of being diversified in all types of music,
Robin Roth has enjoyed a tremendous singing career. A versatile
and accomplished entertainer, she is described as a “singer
extraordinaire with a comic flair.” Her show is unique, extraordinary
and will not be forgotten. With a broad and varied repertoire that
includes classics, standards, swing, Broadway, pop, jazz and today’s
hits; Robin delivers it all with passion and intensity. Her comedy
routines alone provide an amazing evening of entertainment
without even singing a note. This lady is a talented artist, songstress
and comedian. She takes charge of the audience the moment she
walks on stage with her huge amazing voice and stunning presence.

Safia Hudson satisfies a large variety of musical tastes with a
repertoire consisting of Jazz Standards, Pop, Broadway, Opera,
Classical/Opera crossover and Italian, French and Spanish songs.
With her versatile vocals, she brings passion and beauty to every
performance. In a performance review, it was quoted “Safia walked
in with class and elegance before even beginning her performance.”
Every person in the room was just lost within her performance.
Beautiful tones and ranges to her voice were tested by our selection
of Classic Opera, Contemporary Italian favorites and other genres.”

DAVID MORIN & RICHARD FRANK

David Morin has been getting audiences all shook up for the past
five years. This ambitious performer who impersonates Elvis Presley
first became enamored with Elvis at age five. With more than
40,000 songs in his catalogue, Morin appears to have something
for everyone. To provide his audience with an even bigger variety
of entertainment, Morin also does impressions of Dean Martin,
Bobby Darin, and Johnny Cash just to name a few. Richard Frank
is an accomplished professional, singing his way across the US for
many years. He captivated audiences with “A Man and His Music,”
a tribute to Frank Sinatra. He continues with his musical tribute to
other greats, such as Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and Perry Como, to
name a few.
TROPICANA EXTRAVAGANZA

Tropicana Extravaganza is a tribute to two legendary stars of the
Golden Era of music “Giovanni and Nina.” Their show concept
originated in the Tropicana night club in Cuba with a cabaret style
show that featured show girls, dance routines and Latin and Jazz
vocalists. This re-creation features stellar performers including Latin
Grammy considered Nominee Jessi Campo.
KINGS POINT GLEE CLUB PRESENTS

Motown Magic consists of four excellent vocalists and six top-notch
musicians. Motown Magic takes you back to great memories and
good times with hits from The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The
Four Tops, The Jacksons and many, many more. Some of the greatest

“AN EVENING AT THE COPACABANA”

“An Evening at the Copacabana” is a stage show with a Latin flavor,
reminiscing on the days of the famous Copacabana nightclub and its
many performers. We mix the excitement of Latin dance rhythms
and the intensity of the Big Band swing music along with some
ballads from the Great American Songbook to create the dynamics
in this show. This new show features The Latin American Orchestra,
which is a 10 piece Latin band outfitted in tropical tuxedos, a female
vocalist, our exotic showgirl dancers and amazing tributes honoring
the many different stars that performed at the Copacabana. This is
a variety show with a mix of Latin dance music and American swing
and dance music.

ART EXPLOSION
The roots of Art Explosion were set years ago by a group of
hardworking friends looking to explore the Arts, travel and
experience the world. Twenty plus years and over 2500 national
and international performances later, these same friends who
started as street performers on Granville Island in Vancouver, have
come full circle and back to their roots to create Art Explosion.
Art Explosion is truly a unique show. Where in one place can
you participate in an experience that includes a team of artists,
singers, dancers, Bunraku puppeteers and most importantly
audience involvement and interaction?

A tribute to Michael Buble’ with three voices singing incredible

DUDU FISHER

Dudu Fisher is known throughout the world for his stirring
performance as Jean Valjean in the hit show “Les Miserable’s,” but
his career began in his native country Israel many years before. After
three years of service in the Israel defense forces, Fisher studied at
the Tel Aviv Academy of music and studied privately with some of
the great cantors of the previous generation. “Dudu Fisher, coming
to America” his one man show which features selections from
“Fiddler on the Roof”, “The Jazz Singer” and “Yentl”. Audiences
are thrilled by his latest show “Jerusalem”. The tour of this show
began in Jerusalem and he continues to travel through the states
and Europe with this production. From the Opera House in Sydney,
Australia to Madison Square Garden in New York from the Budapest
Opera House to the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow from Singapore to

Jeremy Stolle, currently starring in Phantom of the Opera on
Broadway, is accompanied by Broadway Veterans Mary Michael
Patterson from Phantom and Anything Goes, and Michael Mott,
Broadway recording artist of Where the Sky Ends, to bring you hit
after hit. From new music to old in this evening of laughter, heart,
high notes and a few surprises. Come see what The Unreachable

“A JEW GROWS IN BROOKLYN”

A smash hit in the heart of Broadway, where it played for more
than a year and a half, “A Jew Grows in Brooklyn” is an “engaging,
poignant and hilarious” comedy musical about the search for
identity and meaning. The highly acclaimed show chronicles the
life of Jake Ehrenreich: a uniquely talented American born child
of Holocaust survivors. When Jake Ehrenreich was growing up
in Brownsville in the 1960’s, he wanted nothing more than to
be an American. But his Yiddish-speaking parents, who failed to
understand the game of baseball or make sense of rock music,
made it difficult for him to feel part of the mainstream culture. In
his new one-man show, “A Jew Grows in Brooklyn,” directed by Jon
Huberth, Ehrenreich explores how his family history, dominated by
the shadow of the Holocaust, shaped the man he turned out to be.

For nearly 60 years, Bill Haley and the Comets were an American
Rock-n-Roll band that were founded in 1952 and continued until
Haley’s death in 1981. They have been credited as the group
that gave birth to Rock-n-Roll, according to the Rock n Roll Hall of
Fame. Bill Haley’s Original Comets invaded Branson and brought
rock and roll along for the ride. You will find yourself singing and
dancing along to favorites such as “Rock Around The Clock,” “See Ya
Later Alligator” and “Shake, Rattle and Roll.” Come and enjoy this
spectacular performance.

Joey Dee & The Starliters are back! This group will take you back
to the sixties when you hear “Peppermint Twist,” followed by the

“What Kind of Love is This”. Joey and the Starliters were hurtled
into instant stardom with flawless talent and harmonies. This group

YAKOV SMIRNOFF

Yakov Naumovich Pokhis, better known as Yakov Smirnoff
is a Soviet-born American comedian, actor and writer. After
immigrating to the United States in 1977, Smirnoff began
performing as a stand-up comic. He eventually gained fame and
reached his biggest successes in the mid-to-late 1980’s when he
appeared in several films and television shows, including his own
1986-87 sitcom, “What a Country!” His comic persona was of
a native immigrant from the Soviet Union who was perpetually
confused and delighted about life in the United States. His humor
combined a mockery of life under Communism and of consumerism
in the United States.

Michael Cavanaugh is the New Voice of the American Rock &
Roll Songbook. A charismatic performer, musician and actor,
made famous for his piano/lead vocals in the Broadway Musical
Movin’Out. Billy Joel spotted Michael and joined him on stage and
it only took two songs before Billy was convinced that he had found
his new Piano Man. Michael Cavanaugh was handpicked by Billy
Joel to star in the title role and evokes a style reveling the Piano
Man. Michael appeared in the show for 3 years and over 1200
performances, receiving accolade after accolade, which culminated
in 2003 with both Grammy and Tony award nominations. Michael
is one of the hottest artist’s in the corporate/events market. This
show is truly an outstanding evening spectacle.

“THE RETURN OF THE LEGENDS OF DOO WOP”

The Legends of Doo Wop are the only group that boast three lead
singers that all recorded hit records in the late 50’s and early 60’s.
The group is composed of the original lead singer of The Passions
Jimmy Gallagher, Frank Mancuso, original lead of The Imaginations
and Tony Pass original lead singer of The Fascinators and Johnny T.
formerly of the Mystics.
MELISSA MANCHESTER
Melissa Manchester has recorded over 16 albums, the first one
in 1973. Her albums have served to establish her as one of the
most compelling singer/songwriters in contemporary music. As
an actress, she has appeared on stage, films and TV. This multitalented lady won a Grammy Award for Best Female Vocalist and
was the first artist in the history of the Academy Awards to have
two nominated movie themes in a given year. She is delightfully
refreshing and a vocal powerhouse that will surely make this an
enjoyable evening
CHRISTINE ANDREAS

Christine Andreas is a multiple-award winning singer/actress
and a two-time Tony Award nominee. Most recently starring on
Broadway in La Cage Aux Folles. She first captured theatergoer’s
hearts in the 20th anniversary production of My Fair Lady as Eliz
Doolittle followed by the revival of Oklahoma! as Laurey and the
legendary George Abbott’s On your Toes. She also created the role
of Marguerite St Just in The Scarlet Pimpernel and her unanimously
praised portrayal of Margaret Johnson in the Tony Award winning
musical The Light in the Piazza. Her cabaret appearance in New
York’s finest rooms and concerts from the White House to Carnegie
Hall continue to win Ms. Andreas critical acclaim both nationally
and internationally. She takes songs that are already incendiary and
makes them shine that much brighter. Her beauty and radiance
remain undimmed. Her bright, shiny soprano conveys a high-strung
emotionality that is part of her acting skills. The refined pop-jazz
arrangements encouraged Ms. Andreas to fly as far and wide as she

The Kings Point Players will perform an entirely new show paying
tribute to the great American Broadway theater musicals, as well as
some motion picture musicals. The Show will feature music from
such beloved shows as Oklahoma, Carousel, The Sound of Music,
and Cabaret. Our cast of talented singers, dancers and joke tellers
will do an outstanding job of presenting some well-know standards
accompanied by videos from some of those great musicals. We
welcome them back, always…Remember this show is so much fun,
they do it twice!

While Stevie Wonder impersonators dot the landscape, Natural
Wonder the Ultimate Stevie Wonder Show rolls into town with
the full band experience complete with a crack rhythm section,
full-fledged horn ensemble, and the formidable Gabriel Bello, a

Lenny, Gary, Larry and Norman. Four men-one common thread…
getting old. This new, original musical comedy is funny and honest
as it explores and celebrates men going through middle age.
Starring Sandy Hackett, son of legendary comedian, Buddy Hackett
and Lisa Dawn Miller, daughter of legendary songwriter, Ron Miller.
Based on the book by Hackett and Miller, Mandropause will have
you laughing and crying and maybe feeling a little relieved that
you’re not alone! After all, we ALL go through “the change!”

Returning by popular demand is the #1 identical twin impersonator
show in the world. Anthony and Eddie Edwards are identical twin
brothers who were both fascinated with celebrities at an early age.
Living near the NBC TV-Studios, they would sneak in to watch the
shows being taped, then at home would perform the comedy skits
they memorized from The Sonny and Cher Show, The Carol Burnett
Show, and many more. When The Edwards Twins hit the stage, they
move, sing, perform like the actual stars, and can impersonate over

Abba Cadabra is one of the most famous pop groups of the
1970’s. Every instrument sound, vocal arrangement and costume is
designed to recreate this phenomenal group. Remember “Dancing
Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “ Fernando,” “Waterloo” and
“Mamma Mia?” It is the ultimate ABBA tribute concert. This is a
must see show!
JOE STARR & SHARON DANIELS

Joe Starr’s comedic style is like that of Lou Costello, Jack Benny
and Jackie Gleason. He has worked with a host of comic luminaries
such as Jay Leno, Pat Cooper, Robert Klein, Soupy Sales and Jeff
Dunham. His instantly recognizable face and style meld old and
new, uncommon, familiar and unique. Joining him in the evening of
comedy is Sharon Daniels, a uniquely talented and versatile comic
impressionist and singer. Sharon has developed a wide range of
hilarious impersonations of well-known celebrities as well as her
own original characters.

The Crests hold an impressive list of credits. In 1958 their huge hit
“Sixteen Candles” became an instant classic and one of the most
memorable ballads of all time. They have performed throughout
the U.S. including an impressive run in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
They have withstood the test of time and continue to bring joy to
generations with their own hits of the 50’s and 60’s. The Flamingos
were in the vanguard of the Rhythm and Blues groups that changed
the focus of R&B songs. They emphasized romantic ballads with
emotional involvement and warmth over the years. For decades,
their hit recordings and sensational stage show have galvanized
audiences from Madison Square Garden to Las Vegas. They are best
known for inventive arrangements of standards like “I only Have
Eyes for you” and “Love Walked In.” Come and enjoy an evening

black sheep or anything. It’s just that he felt as a proud and patriotic
San Franciscan, he should do his civic duty and move into comedy
to balance out the family tree a bit. The majority of Dan St. Paul’s
material comes from being a suburban husband and father and
dealing with the frustrations of everyday life. His shows appeals to
