PTO Meeting and Board Nominations: The final PTO meeting for 2012/13 will be held Wed., June 19 at
7pm. Interim Director Elizabeth Willaum and founders Jennifer Sargent and Barbara Martinez will all be
speaking briefly at the meeting about the upcoming school year, including the new administrative structure,
programming and facilities – as well as parent advocacy! Please note: Due to her final commitments in her
current district, our new Instructional Supervisor, Monica Generoso, will not be able to attend. We are also
very excited to be nominating the new PTO Board and recapping our amazing year! There will be
light refreshments.
Reading Lists: Click here for Summer Reading Lists for each class, as well as information on how to order
from local bookstore Greetings from Hoboken. These should have also been sent home in your child’s
folder. Orders and checks (don’t forget to calculate your discount!) must be returned in folders by Monday,
June 17th. If you order after that, you’ll have to deliver the form directly to Greetings from Hoboken. These
lists are just suggestions, and are not required reading. Please email Lori Heidenry ([email protected])

Field Day: Despite Mother Nature’s best attempts to wash it away, Field Day was a great success! The
children had a blast and the parents did too. Special thank you to Adam Saynuk, Susan Costomiris, Shan
Gettens, Jill Tseng, Jen Hill, Christine Pipchick, Lynn Danzker, Christiane Hoffman, Jen Crealese, Doug

Teacher Meet & Greet: Class lists for next year will be sent out on Friday 6/21; there will be a brief meet &
greet for parents and next year's teaching teams for each grade, the following Monday evening 6/24,
6:30pm -– more details to come.
HoLa Aventuras Day Camp: Due to popular demand, Hola Aventuras is now available to children who will
be entering pre-k 4 in September! Camp runs six weeks from July 8 through August 16, and includes
many activities – all in Spanish – that the campers will enjoy (see flyer for details). Click here to
register. **You will be able to complete all your paperwork online except the Physician's Immunization
Form. If you previously paid through PayPal you will receive a code from Karen Perdomo to be input at
checkout, which will reduce the total amount due. If you haven't received your code please email
[email protected]. Please note that applicable discounts will be calculated automatically and
deducted AFTER you hit the checkout button. There is a 50% discount applied to the 5th and 6th week
tuition when you register for 5 or more weeks. There is also a sibling discount of 10%. Cancellation policy:
Full refund (less $25 registration fee) prior to June 1. 50% refund from June 2 through June 28, 2013. No
refunds after that. Full payment is due June 1, 2013.*
Community Service Rocks! Thank you to everyone who donated food and shoes for our community
service project. We were able to make several deliveries to IJN food pantry and we collected 441 pairs of
shoes for Soles 4 Souls! Wonderful job everyone! Thanks to Eileen Reilly for coordinating the shoe
collection and delivery.
HoLa Mamacitas 5K: HoLa Mamacitas team will be running in the Party With Purpose Hoboken 5K and
Kids Fun Run on Tuesday, July 16th at 7pm (check in starts at 5:30), Please join us! Keep your hearts
healthy and support our Hoboken Boys and Girls Club! Adult Registration is $30 and $35 on race day so
don't delay! Sign up today and start your training. There is a separate Kids Fun Run earlier that day at 4:30
pm run (check in starts at 3 pm). Adults and children can register here. Please select "5K Run–Team
Member" category and select our team name ‘HoLa Mamacitas’ to join! If you have any questions please

HoLa Aventuras Veraniegas/Summer Adventure Camp
July 8, 2013 to August 16, 2013.
Not your regular summer camp, HoLa’s Aventuras Veraniegas is a Spanish Immersion Camp
designed for students entering pre-K4 through 5th grade in Sept 2013. While our Aventuras
Veraniegas is designed to complement the HoLa curriculum it is open and appropriate for any
student interested in having fun while acquiring or strengthening their Spanish language and creative
writing skills. HoLa’s Aventuras Veraniegas/Summer Adventure programs includes:
 Free Swim twice weekly at Sky Club
 Swimming lessons at Sky Club
 Cultural Dance Lessons
 Outdoor soccer/Indoor gym time
 Local Walking Field Trips
 Daily recess and afternoon snack
 Daily Art Class
 Math, Social Studies
 Creative Writing
 Out of town Field Trips on Fridays TEATRO SEA/The Latino
Children’s Theatre, Liberty Science
Center, Water park,
 HoLa Fiesta Field Day
 HoLa Aventuras T-shirt
The “Aventureros” (enrolled students) with the support of their counselors (HoLa faculty and certified
teachers) will engage in a classroom virtual tour which focuses on an in depth study of a Spanish
speaking countries. Our “Aventureros” will put on their backpacks, gather their passports and off they
will go on their Summer Adventure!

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision
of race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including but not limited to: falls, contact with other
participants, the effect of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand
that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or blades, animals and radio headsets are not allowed in the race, and I will abide by this guideline. Having read this
waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Party With Purpose
incorporated, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event though the liability
