Message from the CEO
Dear CFCU Members,
It’s an exciting time at CFCU; we have all kinds of things happening to benefit our
members!
We brought back the popular “Match It or Beat It” loan promotion! You just show
us the rate you have on your car if you have it financed at another financial institution, and we will match it or beat it AND give you $100! We really want your loans;
we know we will take care of you better than anyone else, that’s just what we do.
We also have a fantastic HELOC promotion right now. This is a great opportunity
to make some dreams come true by adding a room, remodeling a kitchen,
installing a pool or just consolidating some high interest debt. If you borrow
$10,000.00 your interest rate will be a low 1.99% for a year!
We are offering to deposit the $25.00 minimum balance for grandparents who
would like to open new accounts for their grandchildren age 18 and under. This is
an excellent gift and a great way to teach children to save.
We will also deposit the first $25.00 for any child in high school that comes in to
open an account. We are committed to working with these young adults and
teaching them not only how to save money but how to borrow money wisely.
E-notices are now available and we also have e-statements, both available for our
online banking users! Sign up today and you will have the convenience of being
able to view these items online.
Our Fall Community Day is on November 6th. We will have employees available in
the parking lot to help carry your boxes of papers to the truck to be shredded. You
can also bring old prescription drugs to be disposed of by the police department.
See why I love my job? I don’t think I have had one minute of boredom in the 38
years I’ve been here; we are always working on some project that will make a
difference in member’s lives in some form or fashion!
Oh, and don’t forget “Skip-a-Payment”! This is a great way to have a little extra
cash to buy Christmas presents for special people!
Our sympathy is extended to our April Simmons and her family in the death of her
precious grandmother, Annabelle Britt Stanley. April is also to be congratulated
on becoming the Treasurer of the Northeast Tennessee Chapter of Credit Unions.
Her work ethics and beautiful smile make her the perfect candidate for this position! We are very proud of April!
Congratulations to Amy Banks! We all enjoyed the beautiful wedding of her
daughter Kayla and new son-in-law Buddy Perea. We wish them the best of
everything life has to give! (And what’s not given, we will be glad to finance)!
My special note is for Amy Banks! I’ve watched Tracy
and Amy raise two precious daughters, Kayla and Taylor,
and Grady and I have been fortunate to become their honorary “aunt and uncle”. These girls are beautiful inside
and out and are very hard workers and I know it’s from the
example their parents have provided. Good job, my friend!
Life is Good.

From your CFCU Employees
and Board of Directors
The next few months can be a little tight for some of
our members. That’s why we offer the Skip-APayment program. Ask a loan officer how you can
skip your vehicle and signature loan payments and put
more cash in your pocket this month.
You can expect your Christmas Club money to be
deposited in your savings accounts in early
November. For our members without a Christmas
Club account, these are secondary accounts that you
make deposits into all year long. We can even set up
a distribution to have a set amount transferred every
time you get paid. This is a great way to save all
year.
