Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree, Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and the entire lineage of Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s spiritual
successors will preside in a magnificent new Mandir on Sunday 24 August 2014 accepting the prayers of His Divine Holiness Acharya
Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj.
The supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayan manifested in the year 1781, to rejuvenate the faltering ideals of religiosity and protect His
disciples. He established the Swaminarayan religion and spread His tenets and philosophy in a remarkable manner. The merciful Lord lit
the path to salvation. His teachings swiftly spread everywhere and masses were inspired to follow Him. Lord Shree Swaminarayan
advocated that His disciples should live a life of honour, devotion, reverence and discipline.
Lord Shree Swaminarayan manifested again on the Earth in the form of Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree in 1845, to explain the true
supremacy and philosophy of Lord Shree Swaminarayan. He transformed the lives of thousands by leading them onto the path of eternal
salvation. His prowess was recognised amongst all sections of the Swaminarayan Faith. Eminent scholars and preachers came to hear his
discourses. He held grand festivals and celebrations so that anyone who performed a little service towards them, became worthy of
salvation. Lord Shree Swaminarayan remains present within the Faith through His lineage of ascetic spiritual leaders. Fourth in this divine
lineage, commencing from Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swamibapa, was the remarkable spiritual master, Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree
Muktajeevan Swamibapa.
Manifesting in the twentieth century, Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa was instrumental in commencing the spreading the name
of Lord Shree Swaminarayan around the world under the auspices of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. Today, this divine
office of Lord Shree Swaminarayan is presided over by Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s beloved heir, the sovereign of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi
(the Lord’s eternal throne), Acharya Swamishree Maharaj. Through His immense efforts and endurance Shree Swaminarayan Gadi
Sansthan has flourished into a worldwide centre of spiritual, cultural and social welfare.
It was in the mid 1960’s that Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa first commanded disciples to migrate to England for the spread of
the Faith. This year marks fifty years since those first disciples heeded Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s commands and came to this country.
During Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s historical first visit to England in 1970, He expressed a wish for a traditional Hindu Mandir to be built in its
capital city, London. Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s wish is being realised through Acharya Swamishree Maharaj in the form of the magnificent
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury.
In celebration of this auspicious occasion, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj has inspired an amazing six day festival, Shree Swaminarayan
Mandir Kingsbury Grand Opening. We proudly invite you, your family and friends to these spectacular celebrations from 19 to 24 August,
and also take part in the magnificent procession through the streets of Central London on Sunday 17 August.
